Hero Usage[edit]

  • Heroes cast Protective Spirit in response to any amount of incoming damage, even if that damage is below the threshold needed for Protective Spirit to reduce it.

Notes[edit]

  • This skill is the base for all 55 Monk builds.
  • Spirit Bond and Protective Spirit stack to great effect. Even if Protective Spirit would reduce damage taken to below 50, as long as the initial damage (before reduction from Protective Spirit) is above 50, Spirit Bond will still take effect. This is the basis for the "600" monk in the 600/smite team used for farming.
  • The concise description is more accurate than the verbose one: damage from signets and traps for example will also be reduced.

  • When casting this spell, the image that appears over the head of the caster resembles the Hindu god Shiva.
