Acquisition

• Kenichi will unlock this charmable animal in exchange for 100 Racing Medals which can be obtained through Rollerbeetle Racing (only available during Shing Jea Boardwalk events)
• Unlocking cost: 1 plus 100 or 10,000 Balthazar Faction (Prestige, Exotic)

Notes

• Racing Beetles deal slashing damage.
• A character's Rollerbeetle Racer and their Racing Beetle have the same design, which is changed by talking to Hokusai. The color changes randomly each time an instance is entered; there's no way to fix it.
• On the Menagerie grounds, the adult Racing Beetles have a different color and pattern each time the instance is loaded, but the juveniles always look like plain Rock Beetles.

Anomaly.

• Racing Beetles attack faster than other pets (1.33 versus 2). However, they move at the same speed as players - other pets move 25% faster.
• The color of the beetle in the instance doesn't match the color in its portrait on the Pet Commander.

Trivia

• Introduced in Canthan New Year 2013.
• This is the only pet that utilizes a disguise.
