- The color of the Crane's crest and neck was changed sometime after the release of Factions. It used to have a red crest and a black neck but this was changed because in China you are not allowed to depict the death of an endangered species, even in a video game. The initial colouring of the Crane (above right) looked similar to an endangered species and thus it was changed.
- Other pets which have been removed or changed include the Panda, Dune Lizard, and the Pygmy Hippopotamus.
