- Moa birds can also be found in Pre-Searing Ascalon, but are referred to as strider then.
- Moa Birds grow significantly with each level
- In Factions, in the Shing Jea Island in Minister Cho's Estate there are some Sickened Moas.

- Moa is the name of a flightless bird that, until it was hunted to extinction by the local Maori, occupied the country of New Zealand. In appearance, the moas of Guild Wars resemble the Phorusrhacids, predatory flightless birds that used to inhabit the Americas.
