One of the larger provinces of Kryta lies just north of Lion's Arch, hence the name. It is now also home to an Ascalon Settlement.

- Aidan: Though I doubt you could get us thrown out of an entire country, I would prefer you not try, Cynn.
- Devona: I am sorry for my companion's rudeness, Damaris. Please continue.
- Damaris: It's quite all right. You'll find the Ascalon Settlement to the northwest.
- Damaris: It's not far from the shores of the Giant's Basin...the great salt lake out past the swamp.

- These quests will affect the spawns in this area:
- Complete exploration of this area contributes approximately 1.6% to the Tyrian Cartographer title.
- In hard mode, you have to kill roughly 184 enemies in order to vanquish this area.
- If you are a Prophecies character and haven't completed The Ascalon Settlement you can have Mhenlo, Cynn, Devonna and Aidan help you vanquish the zone in Hard mode more easily. They will be level 20 but possess no elite skills.
