The Floodplain of Mahnkelon is a fertile piece of lowlands that is fed and constantly renewed by the seasonal flooding of the Elon river. The Kournans who stay in this region are housed in camps and outposts on higher ground that double up as shelter during rainy seasons.

Getting there[edit]

This area lies to the northeast of the Kodonur Crossroads mission outpost. Your character's choice of either Margrid the Sly or the Master of Whispers determines whether this area is optional or not.

Characters who chose to follow Margrid will not need to come here as completion of the Pogahn Passage mission will completely bypass this area. Those with Master of Whispers will end up here as part of the primary quest To Kill a Demon.

Notes[edit]

  • There is a slim chance to charm the Elder Crocodile to the east of Pobehr before it gets charmed by the nearby Beast Sworn Heket.
  • These quests affect the spawns in this area:
  • Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 232 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 200 to 281 foes.
    • The eastern side of the area has several hidden groups of mandragor, a few very inconveniently placed near other mobs.
    • The two hidden boss groups, Zelnehlun Fastfoot and Jerneh Nightbringer, can be avoided by skirting their trigger points (refer to the map). For the former, it is near where the path splits into an upper and lower path. The latter is situated in the water before the stairs.
Anomaly Anomaly. There is a Whispers Informant in the northeastern shrine offering Elemental Hunt despite the fact that there are no elementals in this area (aside from those that appear during the primary quest To Kill a Demon).
Anomaly Anomaly. All party members must have completed Pogahn Passage or Rilohn Refuge in order to vanquish this area, or the waterworks area will be unreachable due to all gates being closed.
Anomaly Anomaly. The NPCs related to the quest Drakes on the Plain (drakes and human NPCs) may spawn even if this quest has never been taken, the only condition is presence of Koss in the party.
