Elonian Protector Title
I've completed NightFall game and all 17 missions in my Hero's Handbook are checked. However, I don't have the title of Elonian Protector as the title track has only recorded 14/20 missions. Could you please tell me how I can recover the six missing unrecorded missions? Thanks. Brennus 02:07, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- For protector, you have to acquire the Masters reward on all of those missions. (they look like two swords and a staff going through them; something like that). Are you sure all of those look like that? -- Wandering Traveler 02:25, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- You also must complete all 20 of the missions, not just 17, which means you must go back and do the missions that are branched by whether you choose Margrid or Master of Whispers and Dasha Vestibule or Dzagonur Bastion and then where you choose either Jennur's Horde or Nundu Bay. As WT stated above, all 20 have to be completed at the Master's Reward level. -- Wyn 06:12, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- The book ignores the first three on istan, Wyn. However, the book also does not require that you receive the master's reward for a mission to get credit for it, while the protector title does. Look at the mission outposts on your map - there's a different icon for completed missions based on what level of reward you received. Find the incomplete ones and complete them with their bonus objectives. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 08:01, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- Ah... gotcha.. I was just confuzzled. I saw the title track and the 17 and ran with it :P -- Wyn 08:05, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Buying at in-game store
Im about to buy few upgrates from ingame store. Problem is that e-mail which i used to register my gw account was deleted ( i haven't logged into it for 100 days, so it automaticly deleted) and now i don't know will the shopping work. Do you recive an email with acces keys after you buy upgrades you wanted? I guess so. But will that work for me, if my e-mail was deleted? It's impossible to change e-mail addresses after you registeter ur gw account using them. Can you type address on wich u want recieve the codes upon buying? I would beg someone to answer as fast as they can. ( my english is bad, and this is my first " post" on the guild wars wiki )

- You don't receive access codes, the content is automatically added to your account. So you can go ahead. :) You should also be able to get your e-mail/account name sorted by contacting official support. Biscuits 13:29, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

- You do receive an Email after purchasing from the ingame Store. However those Emails get send to your PlayNC Master Account Email which you can change and which is not necessarily the same as your GuildWars Account Login which cant be changed not even by Support well I suppose they could but they wont). Also the Items get added to your Account directly wether or not you receive the Email that gets sent to you. --SilentStorm 13:36, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
Lv 20 max lv?
Ive reached level 20 three times now, gets to the end and goes back to the start of level 20 on the experience bar, not sure what is going on I don't get any skill or attribute points, is this the max I am able to level to? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.210.117.221 (talk).
- 1) Please don't post your question in someone else's unrelated topic. 2) Yes, GuildWars has a max level of 20. You should still get skill points (press H to check how many you've got, it's near the top like in this picture where it says "Skill Points") every time your EXP bar fills up again, though. A character's maximum number of attribute points is 200. --Dragon Nataku 18:05, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Blood Washes Blood Help?????
I started the quest "Blood Washes Blood" in Eye of the North. I lit the sacred flame and talked to the bear spirit, but I wasn't ready to go to bjorn marches yet. I left and did a different quest, then I came back. There was nobody there! I couldn't seem to find a way to relite the flame so i went back to egil flameteller. He just didn't have the option of talking about that. I thought that if I abandoned the quest, I could like redo it. I was wrong. I went to sifalla and abandoned the quest. I then made my quest the "Northern Allies" one. Of course, the objective marker was on Egil Fireteller, so I talked to him. He still didn't have the option! So now I just can't go any further in the game at all!! Do you know how to fix this? Any help would be much obliged.--70.246.244.112 22:28, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- Go to the hall of monuments, talk to the scrying pool, and tell it "I seek guidance." This should let you re-obtain the Blood Washes Blood quest. Alternatively, find a friend doing the quest and accompany him - it should automatically give you the quest when entering the mission area. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 22:38, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- The Scryiong Pool is your best option. A third alternative is to summon the bear spirit again, which can be done without any quest active. Backsword 10:15, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- To add to what Backsword said, in order to summon the bear spirit again, you must stand on the altar until the bar on the left side of your screen completely fills up (this bar may or may not be covered by hero skill bars, if you have them open). --Dragon Nataku 18:06, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
I cannot connect to Arena net?
I cannot connect to Arena net? I'm currently playing GW:EOTN and that disc is entered into my computer. But it sticks at the small screen and says "Connecting to ArenaNet" (0%). This happens after I click "Play GuildWars" when I boot it up.--98.221.19.51 02:49, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- First off, you don't need the disc to play GW. If it's installed, it will run without the disc. You should let it sit for a few minutes (3 ought to do if your connection is slow) and see if it connects after a while. If it doesn't, then you probably have some sort of connectivity problem. I don't know what server it tries connecting to default, but if I had to take a shot in the dark I'd say that "Guildwars.com" and/or "Arena.net" are on that same server. Try connecting to them in your browser; if the pages load then you're able to connect to ANet but GW isn't connecting for some reason. Perhaps your firewall is keeping it from connecting?
- If it does connect and switches to something to the effect of "downloading updates" or something, you're probably just in for a long download time. Just wait it out and eventually you'll be able to play. --Jette 02:55, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Levelling up
Why can my character not level up past level 20 I fill the experience bar and then it goes back to the start of the same level again. It has done this three times now I don't receive any skill or attribute points either? --90.207.21.254 07:40, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- Level 20 is the level cap. After you reach level 20, every time you fill the experience bar you just gain a skill point (and text should display in the chat log 'You gain a skill point!'). ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 07:56, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Recruiting Zhed Shadowhoof - something is not working for me.
So, I did the quest Centaur Blackmail to recruit Zhed, but he's not in my heroes under party search and the quest isn't in my log. I've tried going back to Lonai to get the quest again, but he doesn't offer it. I believe that Zhed died when I was doing the quest, but I didn't have time to start over and logged off. Then I forgot about it until now, because I have absolutely nothing left I can do in Nightfall, and I need Zhed to move on. I've also tried checking the Command Post and Kodonur Crossroads, but he doesn't show up in either of those. Help! --146.57.87.12 19:33, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Since no one has responded... does anyone know where else I could get some help figuring this out?
- Check out List of Nightfall missions, see if you can work out where you are in the Storyline to pick up Zhed. Biscuits 07:45, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- Do you still have the Centaur Blackmail quest in your quest log? You should just be able to do it again. Biscuits 07:47, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- I have done To Vabbi! which is the precursor to Centaur Blackmail. And as I said before, the quest doesn't show up in my log and Lonai (who gives the quest) just says "Do you have everything you need? (etc)" when I talk to her. Zhed is not in or outside the Command Post/Jahai Bluffs or Kodonur Crossroads either. I've looked pretty much everywhere I can think of to try to figure this out.
A really hard game
hello, anyone I want to know why Eye of the North is so hard to play I have all these good skills but they barely affect a boss or an enemy. Why? 173.33.143.42 00:26, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
- It's designed for level 20 characters, are you level 20 and not, 10, the minimum to go there? And all the enemies in EoTn area designed to challenge players. I suggest getting some more elite skills, upgrade equipment if possible, etc.-- anguard 00:40, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Inventory
OKAY>.. I hope this question can be easily answered because it seems like it MUST happen to every single player in the game!
when I'm at a merchant for intance and it displays the contents of my backpack,... (20) items.. you notice that no matter how you posistion your INV screen... that bottom line of 5 items in the backpack cannot be seen NOR accessed.... all you can do is sell them to the merchant.... which is a conplete pain in the ass when said item is an unidentified and you have NO way of seeing if you even wanna sell it !!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO FIX THIS BEFORE I START hunting programmers 68.14.178.61 04:11, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- You're probably looking at your Belt Pouch. In the inventory screen, click on your belt pouch, right next to your backpack, and voila! items. -- Wandering Traveler 04:44, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- Or F9, to open all Bags. --Arduinna 09:43, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- He's talking about when he's at the merchant trying to sell stuff. When you have a lot of stuff in your inventory and it's too much to be displayed in the merchant's window at once, a scroll bar appears on the right side of the merchant's window (like it does on websites that are longer, like this page). Move the scrollbar down to see the rest of the stuff you are trying to sell. I hope that helps! --Dragon Nataku 13:04, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- Alternatively, you could be having trouble because you've disabled whichever slot it is that has the items. Near the top of the merchant window, there should be a bunch of icons that look like a bag, a pouch, and two other types of bags. There's probably also a shield icon too. Click these and you'll notice some slots disappear... I'm guessing you clicked one by accident. Click it again and the items should be available to sell. --Jette 23:44, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- If you rearrange (drag and drop) your items into your inventory while merchant window is open, rearranged items will go to the bottom of the list (so you should be able to see the latest items in your backpack).
- But that bottom line of 5 items in the backpack cannot be seen NOR accessed does sound like the belt pouch... If that's the case, inventory and container could help you a little. --NIN37 04:07, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Tekks War
hello, anyone I'm on a quest called Tekks War and I want to know why it was so hard to complete because of the Z'him Monn and the skills I were using were interruption, Bleeding, steal health and hexes and when I use those skills they have no affect on them why? The boss I was fighting kept killing me when I have 600 health the boss uses a skill on me and then I have at least 5 health left, why? Why does this game trick me, I have had experience before because I have been playing for years now. If anyone has more experience can you explain to me please? 173.33.143.42 22:11, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- That's a dungeon boss. They do extra damage and take more damage than usual. Just keep whacking it until it's dead -- it does die, they all just have ungodly amounts of health. And if I had to take a guess, I'd say the skill he's one-shotting you with is either Channeled Strike or Spirit Rift. Not much you can do about the former, but pay attention to little blue bubbles that come out of the ground and you can avoid the latter. --Jette 02:27, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
- Broad Head Arrow helps a lot, Zho has it. Another option is Protective Spirit. Also, like most dungeon bosses, Z'him Monns doesn't regenerate, so as long as you're not in hard mode, you can slowly wear him down, which is generally faster than giving up and starting over. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 03:00, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Infuse armor outpost?
I need to infuse my armor. I can not locate the outpost or mission spot to do so. I did check as always with wiki. There is a guy who I am to bring something to do this armor infuse so the mursaat don't kill me asap. I am ascended, have access to Marhan's and Droknur and that area. I do not understand the map at all. It does not show me the connections to anything that is discernable to me. What it is next to , or the exits I can access to infuse my armor. - Iron Mines of Moladune, Mineral Springs, Ring of Fire, Abaddon's Mouth. Also see the Infusion article. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 12:30, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- Mineral Springs is the only non-mission option. It's a long trek from Droks, you'll have to leave there (Talus Chute) and go northeast to Icedome, southeast to Frozen Forest, northwest to Copperhammer Mines, out to Spearhead Peak, northwest to The Granite Citadel, out to Tasca's Demise, and then northeast to Mineral Springs. You'll then want to hunt down the Ice Beast -- see the map on that page. The seer is near the ice beast. As mentioned, it's also part of the primary objective of Iron Mines of Moladune and the bonus of Ring of Fire, and available in Abaddon's Mouth, though the latter two are only after you leave your current area. --Star Weaver 12:44, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- Note that if you are playing through the storyline normally, you will see mursaat a few times during the mission Ice Caves of Sorrow before you would normally be able to get infused armor. If you're careful they can all be avoided, and you can probably manage to kill small groups if necessary. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 17:15, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

- There are so many ways to earn gold in this game. If you are new, just completing side-quests will generally earn you enough to get essential equipment. If you have been playing for a while, you probably want to ask in-game, so people can tune their responses to your character (prof/campaign progress/level/avail skills/etc) and play style. How do I set up Right Ctrl as an alternative to Left Ctrl?
I have an RSI in my right shoulder so I have had to switch to a left-handed mouse.
Since my left hand is now occupied with the mouse, I need to use the Ctrl and Alt keys on the right side of the keyboard. If I go to Menu | Options | Control, I can set up Right Alt as a synonym for Left Alt for the action Targeting: Show others. But I can't set up Right Ctrl as a synonym for Left Ctrl for the action Targeting: Show targets. Pressing the right Ctrl key seems to do nothing at all.
Is there a workaround for this, such as a configuration file somewhere that I can edit?

- I don't know what's going on there, but if you can't get it to work, you might want to try using one of / . , (slash, period, comma) instead as they're near the alt key. (I use Left Ctrl and Z for these functions myself, if I hold down alt much i'll end up alt-tabbing :D) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Star Weaver (talk).

Elite Skill Captures
When you buy a Elite/Normal skill from the Balthazar bod using Bal points does this(specifically elites) at the point of purchase add this skill to your elite skill capture track or do you have to use the the Elite Tome to activate this skill. I know you have to use a tome to add it to your skills list

- You have to use the a tome, or capture the skill, to get credit for the track and use the skill on a PvE character (although this allows you to use the tome, and heroes can always use unlocked skills). --Mystisteel 12:39, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- Skill Hunter is a PvE title. PvP characters have access to any unlocked skill on that account.
- PvE characters will only learn a skill through a skill trainer, as a quest reward (sometimes prior the quest itself) or by using a Tome.
- So, in short, unlocking an Elite skill will not automatically make your character learn it, so it won't count towards your Skill Hunter title; but having an Elite Skill unlocked allows your PvE character to learn such skill through an Elite Tome. --NIN37 23:08, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

- You mean the quest you get out of his book? Look at Zinn's Task, but it looks like you have to go to the far side of The Falls which is the far edge of Maguuma Jungle which is in Tyria. So (making sure you have Prophecies) head to Lion's Arch and either start working the missions or run yourself over to Majesty's Rest to leave Kryta for the jungle, and then trek to the far corner of the Region
- ... that quest is kinda out in the middle of BFNW. Really.
