Notes[edit]
The Guild Wars 2 Wiki has an article on The Alkali Pan. |
- Complete exploration of the area contributes approximately 3.02% towards the Elonian Cartographer Title.
- A pillar near Fumeai can be knocked down using Junundu Smash, which opens an alternate route from the Bone Palace to the Shattered Ravines.
- Before acquiring the Horde of Darkness quest, the passage in front of the Ruins of Morah exit will be closed; making it more difficult to get to the other side of the map.
- These quests affect the spawns in this area:
Vanquisher[edit]
- Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 300 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 281 to 326 foes.
- This area can be cleared while inside the relative safety of a Junundu, with the exception of the rocky ground outside the two outposts and the boss group of Shelkeh the Hungry.
- Shelkeh the Hungry is a mesmer boss and its group might have several Awakened Cavaliers. Skills that prevent resurrection (such as Frozen Soil) are useful to overcoming them.
- For large awakened groups (the larger ones are on the sulfurous wastes), be sure to take down all Awakened Acolytes and Awakened Cavaliers first. These groups can be difficult to take on, even while inside a Junundu. The Cavaliers have both Signet of Return and "We Shall Return!" so it is essential to keep killing them, or else they will maintain an infinite resurrection chain.
- There are about a dozen spots in the sulfurous wastes where Desert Wurms are hidden, with some having two of them appear at once. Make sure you sweep the area and proceed carefully before engaging undead or elemental groups.
- Hidden mandragor groups can be found on the western rocky ground, the eastern sandy area, and the rocky northeastern corner. Proceed slowly to avoid engaging multiple groups.
