Notes[edit]
The Guild Wars 2 Wiki has an article on Joko's Domain. |
- This area is accessible via Basalt Grotto before completing Gate of Desolation, which introduces you to Junundu. You can reach the exits to the Remains of Sahlahja and the Shattered Ravines from here by hugging the walls and so avoiding the sulfurous sands, but this is very difficult.
- Despite the availability of the Margonite Battle bounty, there are only a handful of Margonite groups here (although you can find more depending on which quests are active).
- Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 382 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 326 to 438 foes.
- This area can take more time to vanquish than others, in part due to the large number of foes, but also because of their resurrection skills. Consider bringing Frozen Soil to counter this.
- Arneh the Vigorous will spam Signet of Return; try to pull him within range of Junundu, after which you can kill his group faster than they can be resurrected.
- Shekoss the Stony is a lethal earth elementalist grouped with several undead, including Dune Carvers and Acolytes; spread out before engaging to avoid his Aftershock. You can pull the group apart, but you won't be able to bring them within range of Junundu.
- Consider going for the above two bosses first and restarting if you fail to kill them without too much Death Penalty.
- Elementals are often found in groups of five or six foes, which is more than sufficient to take out Junundu in hard mode; be prepared to retreat when necessary.
- Death Penalty removers can be helpful; while inside the wurms, it is easy to accumulate 30%-50% DP without noticing.
- You can easily miss a group of Mandragors on a rocky island towards the east; you can reach them by heading southeast from the area below three bridges that are patrolled by insect groups and then crossing a bridge.
- Undead and Margonites have potent anti-shout abilities with Vocal Minority and Well of Silence respectively, hindering shout-based builds.
- Holy damage can be very helpful against the undead, especially from skills such as Light of Deldrimor, Heart of Holy Flame or Ray of Judgment.
- Hex based teams will encounter Hex Eater Vortex from the Awakened Thought Leeches.
- During the Halloween quest Open the Flood Gates of Death, you receive six Mad King's Guards as allies and the vanquish is decreased by up to 100 foes (excluding the quest foes).
- This area can still be vanquished even if you have abandoned A Deal's a Deal. However, you can not leave from Bone Palace, as the gate will remain closed.
- The Wurm Spoor outside the Bone Palace is located very close to rocky ground. Because of this, henchmen/heroes in your back row may inadvertently be ejected from their Junundu right after entering. Check that everyone is in a Junundu before moving out.
Anomaly. If A Deal's a Deal is active, you may not receive credit for vanquishing even if the party defeats the last foe before triggering the cinematic.
