Notes[edit]

The Guild Wars 2 Wiki has an article on Poisoned Outcrops. |
- This is the only area in the Desolation where Junundu are not available.
- Complete exploration of this area contributes approximately 2.4% to the Elonian Cartographer title track.
- Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 227 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 176 to 277 foes.
- There's a small group of hidden insects at the end of the northern path just out of the Lair of the Forgotten. They can be avoided simply by not using that short central path.
- The boss group of Droajam, Mage of the Sands is, by far, the most difficult group to take down. It consists of the boss itself plus 4 other elementals (Sandstorm Crag and Shambling Mesa, usually more of the former). The sheer damage that they can dish out at once can wipe even a well-prepared party several times. Focusing on one at a time and spreading out wide is essential to taking them down. Alternatively, a well-timed Pain Inverter will also usually kill the boss and Sandstorm Crags in one Sandstorm, especially if using spirits/minions/pets (which can also act as a decoy).
- Just west of the Lair of the Forgotten are several very closely placed groups of undead, possibly overlapping with a Margonite group as well. Carefully pull each group into the narrow path before fully engaging them. The boss group containing Nehjab the Parched may be difficult to take down; it depends on the number of Awakened Acolytes and Awakened Cavaliers there are. Consider skills like Frozen Soil.
- Both the Hallowed Point and the Growing Threat quests will significantly increase the number of Margonite spawns, although the latter also provides some allies.
