There are a lot of secrets in the GW.dat file. Some of them are skills which used to exist, like the very old implementation of Unnatural Signet that was a running joke in beta. While there is a present-day version of Unnatural Signet, its old functionality is buried somewhere in the dat. I'm unofficially collecting these old and odd skills on this page out of interest. For another list, that have been more or less officially confirmed, see the list of removed skills.
Note: unless explicitly stated (i.e., confirmed ingame one way or another), green numbers (e.g., 10...20...22) are dummied to 0 for ease of reading. Thanks to Smurf and Zerpha The Improver for hinting at a better way of getting at these ingame.

Tactics[edit]
- "Aim True!" Shout. All nearby allies are affected by Aim True for 5...9...10 seconds. The next attack by each affected ally cannot be blocked. (Nightfall)
- "Don't Believe Their Lies!" Shout. Hexes on other allies in the area have their durations reduced by 50%. (Prophecies)
- "Headshot!" Shout. For 5...17...20 seconds, the next attack by each nearby ally is a critical hit. (Nightfall)

- Call of Elemental Protection Shout. For the next 60 seconds, your animal companions have 1...13...16 base damage reduction and gain 20...32...35 armor against all elemental damage. (Prophecies)
- Call of Feeding Shout. For the next 60 seconds, your animal companions have base 1...13...16 damage reduction, and gain 5...17...20 health when they hit. (Prophecies)
- Call of Ferocity Shout. For 60 seconds, attacks by your animal companions have a base 5...41...50% armor penetration, and your animal companions attack 25% faster. (Prophecies)
- Call of Healing Shout. For 60 seconds, your animal companions have a 1...11...14 base damage reduction and regenerate 1...3...4 health each second. (Prophecies)
- Call of Resilience Shout. You purge your animal companions of all Hexes and Conditions. (Prophecies)
- Call of the Hunter Shout. For 60 seconds, attacks by your animal companions have a 5...41...50% base armor penetration, and your animal companions have 1...11...14 base damage reduction. (Prophecies)
- Call of Vitality Shout. For the next 60 seconds, your animal companions have 1...16 base damage reduction and +50...232 health. (Prophecies)
- High Winds Nature Ritual. Create a level 1...10 Spirit. For non-Spirit creatures within its range, arrows in flight are blown slightly off course and are less likely to hit their intended target. This Spirit dies after 30...90 seconds. (Prophecies; for EotN PvE skill, see Winds)
Wilderness Survival[edit]
- Final Rest Nature Ritual. Create a level 0...0...0 Spirit. Spells that exploit corpses take at least 0...0...0 seconds to cast. This Spirit dies after 0...0...0 seconds. (Factions)
- Nature's Speed Stance. For 5...17...20 seconds, you move 25% faster and Hexes targeting you take 50...90...100% longer to cast. (Nightfall)

- Bloodletting Enchantment Spell. For 10 seconds, you have + 1...5...6 Health regeneration while Bleeding. When this Enchantment ends, 1...3...4 Conditions from which you are suffering are transferred to a nearby foe. (Nightfall)
- Verata's Promise Spell. Sacrifice 33% Health. For 10...50...60 seconds, your minions have +10 Health regeneration. When Verata's Promise ends, all your minions die. (Factions)

- Recurring Scourge Hex Spell. For 10 seconds, target foe has -1...3...3 Health degeneration. Whenever that foe is healed, this Hex is reapplied. (Nightfall)
Death Magic[edit]
- Dissipation Hex Spell. Target foe and adjacent foes take 15...63...75 damage. If any of the affected foes had more Health than you, that foe is Hexed with Dissipation and suffers -3 Health degeneration for 5...9...10 seconds. (Nightfall)
Soul Reaping[edit]
- (Removed) Enchantment Spell. For 10 seconds, you gain 5...41...50 Health whenever a creature dies. (Nightfall)

- Mantra of Celerity Elite Stance. For 30 seconds, your Fast Casting attribute increases by 50%. Whenever you cast a Spell, you lose 3 Energy or Mantra of Celerity ends. (Prophecies)
Illusion Magic[edit]
- Confusion Hex Spell. For 8...18...21 seconds, target foe's attacks may damage any character in range, including the target. (Prophecies)
- Mirror of Delusions Hex Spell. If target foe suffers from a Hex in the next 10 seconds, all nearby foes suffer from that same Hex. With Illusion Magic 4 or less, this spell has a 50% chance to fail. (Prophecies)
- Unnatural Signet Signet. Remove the most recent Nature Ritual. All of your skills are disabled for 60...36 seconds. (Prophecies)
Inspiration Magic[edit]
- Borrowed Energy Enchantment Spell. Steal up to 4...9...10 Energy from target foe. For 30 seconds, you are Enchanted with Borrowed Energy. When Borrowed Energy ends, you lose 4...9...10 Energy. (Nightfall)
No Attribute[edit]
- Mimic Spell. Learn the last skill used by target ally. For 20 seconds, Mimic is replaced by the skill you learned. You may use the skill once. (Prophecies)

- Ether Nightmare Hex Spell. Nearby foes suffer -5 Energy degeneration. (Factions)

Shadow Arts[edit]
- Shadow Tripwire Trap. When Shadow Tripwire is triggered, all nearby foes become Crippled for 3...13...15 seconds, and you shadow step to that location. Shadow Tripwire ends after 90 seconds. While activating this skill, you are easily interrupted. (Nightfall)

Channeling Magic[edit]
Weapon of Mastery Elite Weapon Spell. For 15...51...60 seconds, your attacks use channeling magic instead of your normal weapon attribute. (Nightfall)
Communing[edit]
Interruption Binding Ritual. Create a level 0...0...0 Spirit. Foes casting Spells within its range are easily interrupted. Every time a Spell is interrupted in this way, this Spirit takes 0...0...0 damage. This Spirit dies after 0...0...0 seconds. (Factions)
Spawning Power[edit]
Accelerated Growth Enchantment Spell. For 15...51...60 seconds, your Spells that target corpses and summoned creatures cast 5...41...50% faster. (Nightfall)

Wind Prayers[edit]
- (Removed) Enchantment Spell. Lose all Enchantments. For 30 seconds, your attacks deal lightning damage. When this Enchantment ends, all adjacent foes are Weakened for 4...9...10 seconds. (Nightfall)
No Attribute[edit]
- Intimidating Aura Enchantment Spell. For 30 seconds, if you strike a foe who has less Health than you, that foe is knocked down and Intimidating Aura ends. (Nightfall)
Paragon[edit]
Command[edit]
- "Forge the Way!" Elite Shout. For 5...17...20 seconds, target other ally gains 25% movement and has +40 additional armor. (Nightfall)
Leadership[edit]
- (Removed) Elite Stance. For 15...51...60 seconds, you gain 2 Energy for each ally affected by your Chants and Shouts (maximum 8 Energy). (Nightfall)
- Anthem of Aggression Elite Chant. For 10 seconds, each party member within earshot gains a 25% faster attack speed until that party member uses an attack Skill. (Nightfall)
Generic[edit]
- "To the Death!" Skill. You do 33% more damage. You have 33% less Health.
- Fake Spell Spell. Fake Spell just to show casting animation and maybe effects.
- Ice Skates Stance. For 10 seconds, you move 33% faster. (Core, for snowball fights)
- Shrine Backlash Spell. All foes near the Resurrection Shrine take 5 damage and are moved to a nearby location.
PvE Only[edit]
- "I Can Do Better!" Shout. You gain +1 to all your attributes for 0...0...0 seconds. (Eye of the North)
- Emperor Degen Passive Skill. The emperor suffers Health degeneration for 30 minutes. (Raisu Palace)
- Everlasting Mobstopper Spell. You attempt to capture a nearby weakened Skeleton of Dhuum. (Core, intended for Stemming the Skeletal Tide and Every Bit Helps quests of the Halloween event)
- Last Stand Skill. All conditions and hexes are removed, and your Health and Energy returns to max.

Environment Effect[edit]
- Consume Spirit Environment Effect. Every 3 seconds, all spirits in the area are consumed. (Urgoz's Warren?)
- Destroy Enchantment Environment Effect. While in the area, foe's Enchantments are shattered every 10 seconds. For each Enchantment shattered on a foe, that foe takes 50 damage.
Monster / NPC[edit]
Core[edit]
- Charr Buff Enchantment Spell. (monster only) (Charr)
- Desperate Howl Chant. This creature emits an earsplitting howl to call for help from other allies.
- Embrace the Pain Stance. (monster only) For 10 seconds, When you hit any foe with an attack, all conditions on you are transferred to all opponents nearby your target.
- Empathy (Koro) Hex Spell. For 8...18 seconds, whenever target foe attacks, that foe takes 10...26 damage. (Koro Sagewind)
- Guild Monument Protected Skill. If there are any NPCs in earshot, for 8 seconds the Guild Monument takes 66% less damage and has +5 regeneration, plus an additional 5 regeneration while Burning.
- N.O.X. Rectifier Enchantment Spell. Heals target Bit Golem for 3 every second. (N.O.X.)
- Oracle Link Hex Spell. You share a portion of your Energy regeneration with the Oracle.

Factions[edit]
- Construct Possession Skill. Possession boosts all of the stats of the possessed construct. (Shiro Tagachi)
- Exposed Underbelly Passive Skill. While on your side, you take +X damage when you take damage, where X is twice your level. (Siege Turtles)
- Seadragon Health Trigger Passive Skill. Monitors health and fires triggers (Kuunavang?)
- Star Shards Hex Spell. Whenever a Celestial creature dies, For 30 seconds all nearby foes are hexed with Star Shards. Star Shards does damage equal to the next skill damage that foe takes. (Celestials)
- Suicidal Impulse Hex Spell. All foes in the area must attack Shiro within 10 seconds or lose half their Health. (Shiro Tagachi)
Nightfall[edit]
- Command of Torment Skill. (5 seconds.) Creature kneels and takes double damage. End effect: 4 random torment creatures are summoned to this location. (Torment creatures)
- Gaze of Moa'vu'Kaal Skill. Steal up to 1000 Health from target foe. (Moa'vu'Kaal)
- Rough Current Skill. (15 seconds.) The Drought draws Energy from the flowing waters that surround it and has +5 Health regeneration. (The Drought)
- Scepter of Ether Skill. Whoever holds the Scepter of Ether steals 200 Health from each foe in the area.
- Signal Flare Skill. The caster fires a signal flare high into the air to attract attention. This skill is difficult to interrupt.
- Summoning of the Scepter Spell. The Margonite utters words in an ancient tongue, and the ground beneath him begins to shiver and crack. (Battlelord Turgar)
- Sunspear Siege Spell. The user fires an Istani siege engine.
- Turbulent Flow Skill. (15 seconds.) The Drought draws Energy from the flowing waters that surround it to gain +1...5 Health regeneration for 15 seconds. (The Drought)
- Queen Armor Stance. You gain +20 armor. Whenever you take damage, nearby foes are Blinded. (Queen Aijundu)
- Queen Wail Shout. All of the junundu's foes within earshot are Dazed for 5 seconds. If any of these foes were activating a skill, that foe's skill is interrupted and disabled for 15 seconds. (Queen Aijundu)
- Unlock Cell Skill. A skill used by Zhed Shadowpaw [sic] that opens up the holding cells, Zhed will use this skill anytime he is in range of a holding cell and not within aggro radius of an enemy. When Zhed completes this skill it consumes one cell key. (Zhed Shadowhoof)
Eye of the North[edit]
- Aura of the Great Destroyer Passive Skill. The Great Destroyer is immune to Burning. (The Great Destroyer)
- Destroy the Humans! Shout. For 10 seconds, Modniir within earshot attack 33% faster. (most-likely Chieftain Windswept and possibly Koren Wildrunner)
- Fire and Brimstone Spell. Do 400 fire damage split evenly among target foe and adjacent foes. Gain Health equal to the damage you did to one target.
- Krak's Charge Shout. For 20 seconds, all mounted Stone Summit within earshot move and attack 33% faster. (Krak Flamewhip)
- Splinter Shot Bow Attack. If Splinter Shot hits, it ricochets to up to two more foes near your target. Splinter Shot strikes for +1...11 damage. (Arachni, Storm of Destruction, Destroyers of Hordes, White Mantle Scouts during the War in Kryta; found in Prophecies dat file)
- Sundering Soulcrush Skill. Havok Soulwail deals 50 damage to a single target and an additional 50 damage for each foe adjacent to the target. (Havok Soulwail)
