Scoundrel's Rise refers to the small sandy area that lies on the eastern border of Kryta. It's possible that this area used to be submerged as there are many shipwrecks dotting the area.
Getting there[edit]
Characters must pass through this area to complete the primary quest, To Kryta: Journey's End. It is the first explorable area in Kryta that Tyrian-born characters can reach.

Notes[edit]
- These quests will affect the spawns in this area:
- Reversing the Skales
- The War in Kryta
- To Kryta: Journey's End — many Mergoyles and Skales are replaced by Skeleton Mesmers and Zombie Warlocks with Grasping Ghoul popups
- Heirlooms of the Mad King (Halloween quest)
- Complete exploration of this area contributes approximately 0.4% to the Tyrian Cartographer title.
- Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 68 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 63 to 105 foes.
- Without active quests, your party will only encounter Gargoyles and Skales:
- None of them can inflict conditions on your party, so condition removal skills are unnecessary.
- They do not rely on attacks to deal damage, so skills that block, cause misses, or inflict the blind condition are less effective here.
- Each of them use at least two hexes, so consider bringing additional hex removal skills.
- They have additional armor rating against cold damage and Mergoyles use Mantra of Lightning, so consider not bringing skills nor equip weapons that deal cold nor lightning damage.
- They are all spellcasters, so consider bringing anti-caster skills and/or various Ranger nature rituals that can benefit your party but cannot benefit them (such as Favorable Winds, Infuriating Heat, Toxicity since Bog Skale Blighters use Chilblains, and Winnowing).
