- History: Alytia's life up and including the present is a bloody path of death and destruction. At a young age she lived in the streets of Kaineng, stealing food and other such resources to survive. On the eve of her twelfth summer a young thug decided that she would be an easy target, it was then she discovered her hidden talent. The youth's body was never found.
- Working as the cheapest assassin in the area she quickly set about getting her name heard, however the others in her trade decided that having competition, let alone a young girl, steal their business was out of order, and one night she found herself bound in a ship's hold, sailing the Shing Jea. The assassins dumped her on the coast, warning if she ever returned there was a knife, in fact several knives with her name on.
- With nothing else to do she managed to get herself a place in the Monastery there, receiving tuition from the masters of the craft. When the plague ravaged the island she knew she had a debt to repay and joined the master, Togo, in his quest to clear it, she didn't know, however, that it would lead so far.
