Halloween 2010 was a Guild Wars in-game event, to celebrate the annual return of Mad King Thorn.

Monday October 25	The new series of Halloween quests starts in Lion's Arch and Kamadan.
Sunday October 31	Mad King Thorn makes appearances every three hours throughout the day in Lion's Arch and Kamadan. His first appearance will take place at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time and his final appearance will begin on November 1 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time.
Tuesday November 2	Festivities conclude at the stroke of midnight.

Guild versus Guild

NPCs in GvG have their models altered as follows:

The opposing Guild Lord drops 50 Trick-or-Treat Bags for each player of the winning team when he dies. To prevent exploitation, no rewards are offered if (a) the match ends after 28 minutes without either side killing a Guild Lord or (b) the battle ends in under 15 seconds (e.g. due to one team resigning or zoning).

Notes

Anomaly.During the finale, Mad King Thorn spoke in All Chat; in previous years, he had always spoken in Team Chat.

Anomaly.In 2009, all festival quests remained in the quest log and one (The Waiting Game) could be completed year-round; but in 2010, all were removed including ones from other special events.
