Ascalon was a prosperous community until the Charr invasion of 1070 AE and the utter destruction caused by the Searing.
The Ascalon census is a list attempting to determine the whereabouts and status of all members of the nation of Ascalon in the present day world.

- Persons are listed by name. Ambiguous persons, such as unnamed 'townsfolk' will not be added.
- The Status options include:
- Alive: Still alive with no significant change
- Changed: Still alive, but changed appearance or profession
- Deceased: Known to have been killed by the presence of a ghost later somewhere in the world.
- Missing: Does not appear after the Searing, and is presumed dead.
- "Pre-Searing Location": This is the last known location of the person, prior to the searing.
- "Latest Location": This is where the person can be found currently in the game (post Searing). This may be multiple locations.
- "Significant Change": This can be appearance, profession, new level or other noteworthy observation.
