The Mirror of Lyss refers to the large and beautiful lake and plaza in the center of this area, surrounding the primary site of the worship of Lyssa in Vabbi, the Sebelkeh Basilica. The central lake that is fed by two waterfalls is considered the start of the Elon river. It is one of the most connected locations in Vabbi, leading to the areas ruled by each of the three Princes of Vabbi.

Getting there[edit]

Characters will arrive in this area for the first time as part of the primary quest All's Well That Ends Well. Several other follow-up primary quests, as well as quite a few secondary quests, will give reason for characters to revisit this area.

Notes[edit]

Gw2logo.png The Guild Wars 2 Wiki has an article on Ruins of the Mirror of Lyss.
  • Complete exploration of this area contributes approximately 3.2% to the Elonian Cartographer title.
  • Without any active quests, the Kournan Bounty available applies only to Briahn the Chosen's group of soldiers.
  • Despite the presence of many beasts, there is no Monster Hunt available.
  • The area east of the lake is a good place for Lightbringer rank farming. Start from Dzagonur Bastion to get Elemental Hunt and go southwards - this yields about 50 Lightbringer points. Consider using Frozen Soil on a ranger hero against Roaring Ethers.
  • Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 204 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 158 to 250 foes.
    • Briahn the Chosen's group will begin its east-west patrol only after your party reaches a point near the southeastern bank of the river. See the boss article for more information.
    • There is a group of beetles that are easily missed because they are on a path that is not clearly visible on the map. This path is reached from the small patch of land that borders the southern edge of the lake and western bank of the river and is slightly north of the Buried Treasure.
    • Both the Madness of Prophecy and the Search for Survivors quests will significantly increase the number of creature spawns (mostly Margonites) in the area, although the latter will also provide you with warrior allies.
  • This area always contains 5 Vabbi Chests (or Locked Chests in Hard mode).
Bug Bug.The three patrolling groups of Vabbian Guards around Ahjii do not attack foes and vice-versa, and area of effect damage from foes do not affect the Vabbian Guards.
