- History: The story of The Slayer of Kings is one with many twists and turns, ending at unceirtanty between good and evil. It may also contain one cliché too many as I am currently writing this while really tired.
The Slayer of Kings grew up in a family of nobles which were all slain in an almost prehistoric war by another noble family during a war for rulership over a now long forgotten country. As a child, she had always enjoyed walking in the forests around their castle. When the castle was attacked, the forest was burned down. The only item of value left after the attack was a necklace and some jewelry, which she still wears to this day. Having already been trained in the arts of assassinating with a bow, she tried to kill every single one of the members of the other family, in a blind rage. But her anger made her do a foolish mistake where she fell off her hiding spot when trying to assassinate the leader of this family while he was being made king.
After being brought to the deepest of prisons, she constantly heard a deep, distant voice. As she thought that it was just all in her head, she ignored it...until it was no longer possible. When asked for it's name, the the dragon Primordus answered that he would give her the power she sought, in return for her releasing him from his godly prison. But another evil already had it's eyes on her, and infused with the spirit of a now long forgotten being, called Durnac (who also was the one to turn Abaddon into purely evil), she went into the dragon's lair, but after accepting it's gift, she only strengthened it's prison and stole even more of it's power.
But as The Slayer of Kings entered the surface realm, she recogniced nothing at all. Durnac told her that she had been imprisoned for many thousands of years and that he had kept her alive during that time, while also making her feel like time was going faster, until Primordus would finally let her enter his chamber.
When searching for even more power, she tried to take it from Durnac himself, but he fled, deeming her as too dangerous to ally with, and went to corrupt Abaddon instead. To this day no one knows what actually happened to Durnac after that.
Although furious over that she would never have her true revenge, after a while her mind started to mature, just as she was walking through a forest, one full of the very same kind tree as the ones that grew in her childhood forest. Almost magically, all evil was washed away from her mind and just when she was wondering why, Melandru herself appeared, saying that The Slayer of Kings' soul was not meant to do evil. Melandru told her about how she could, with her almost godly powers, tip the balance of the immortal beings and allow either good or evil to gain a great advantage. Some other talk later, Melandru disappeared, leaving The Slayer of Kings thinking about if she should gain more power and become a god herself, or defeat the demons and dragons that made her evil in the first place.
But she couldn't decide, and her soul split into two. The evil one was known as Athava, devourer of power while the good one was known as Silvara, bringer of hope. They share the same body though, making her a triple threat in combat, giving her enemies both arrows, fire magic and nature magic to worry about. (unless they are only enemies of one of her souls, in which case only one of the two magic types apply)
