Random drop? Chest?

I have been in tomb of primeval kings several times, not once did I see this item as a random drop or a chest anywhere. Now I haven't made it to the end either, so I haven't explored everything. So if the random drop or the chest is on a specific explorable area, shouldn't the article mention exactly which area?--Worldly Tutor 03:49, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Rewording

Hmm... IMO "cannot be salvaged without breaking the item" implies that "if you don't mind breaking the item, you could get the upgrade", which is false (you can't get the Sword Hilt at all). Maybe some rewording? "You can't remove/replace the Hilt; Salvaging the weapon will only create common/rare crafting material" (unless you want to remove a previously added Sword Pommel or Inscription...). Strange location

Never drops in white?

Today I got a Fiery Dragon sword drop with rarity: blue. But there did not stood that it was "unindentified". I used my indentification kit on it, but i only got the sale value, no bonusses or inscription or things like that. Strange? -- Magamdy 09:26, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

There are blue because they always come with the inherent (and not removable) fire dmg mod which is an upgrade. And all upgarded items are at least blue no less. The only exception I know of was the Denravi Sword with a +5 energy mod. M3G 14:18, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

I got blue inscriptible re8 8-20 damage, which is perfect for casters who just want armor+FC or FR mods on it. Later I got re9 perfect purple one. Strange that it was purple. Can make it anything I want with max damage (which is only good vs certain foes as you can't change the fiery mod). I got all of mine from ice imps both in Talus Chute and Ice Floe.For the longest period they only gave me fiery swords until finally I got IDS... I also got non max FDS from Hydras, I think if I farm them long enough they may give me a gold version. I just like the color better, even if with mods it will be the same as my purple...

Surprise

I just got a Gold inscribable Fiery Dragon Sword drop from a Vabbi Chest in the Mirror of Lyss after I was running around killing bosses after doing the quest Reclaiming the Temple.Cinnamongod 19:00, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Can you add an incription or pommel?

The sword is always "blue" because of the inherent fiery hilt. But unlike most other blue swords, this doesn't mean an inscription or pommel can be used on it. Can you ever upgrade the "blue" FDS, or do you have to find a purple or gold one to add an inscription and pommel? Redscull 16:53, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

I eventually found my own answer. I did finally find a blue Fiery Dragon Sword with inscription "none," meaning it was truly of the magic, and thus upgradeable, variety. Redscull 20:31, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
