Player Background[edit]
I started playing Guild Wars on June 20, 2006, on an impulse purchase of the Game of the Year Edition of Guild Wars: Prophecies at GameStop. At the time I had had little experience with online MMOs, and so I was initially overwhelmed by the combat system and beautiful graphics of Pre-Searing Ascalon. Of course, what also helped was the fact that I was familiar with some of the voice talent, such as Steve Blum, who had worked on other projects with which I was familiar.
I joined my first guild, Speakers Of The Lost [LOST] on my third day of playing. Roughly two months later, due to various difficulties the guild was experiencing, the guild leader felt it necessary to start over from scratch with only a few core members remaining. Guildless and disenfranchised, I told myself that I didn't need a guild. Then about a week later on August 11, 2006, We Need Therapy [NOW] recruiter Kentari found me and convinced me to give guilds another chance. Accepting a guest invitation, I took part in a GvG match alongside NOW. I was impressed with the camaraderie among the NOW members and decided to officially join the guild that night.
Later on, I served NOW as a guild officer for over a year. And although I am currently on hiatus, I still try to log in for holiday events.
PvE Characters[edit]
I have ten PvE characters, one for each profession. Since I favor balance, five of my characters are male and five are female, with four characters from Tyria, and three each from Cantha and Elona.
My playing style consists mainly of solo play with heroes/henchmen, not because I'm a loner or anti-social (though I can be anti-PuG at times), but because I don't wish to annoy other players with my anal retentiveness about map scraping if I haven't yet been through an explorable area or mission. This does not mean that I won't team up or help out others though.

PvP Character[edit]
Though I've taken part in GvG, Random Arenas, Team Arenas, and even Heroes' Ascent, as far as PvP play goes, I've found that taking part in Alliance Battles is by far my favorite aspect of PvP because of the strategy and teamwork involved. I also plan to someday try Codex Arena.
