As GWW:NPA explains, the first (and usually best) thing to do is ignore the attack/person. You usually don't get further attacks if you don't provoke them with responses. The noticeboard should be used only when the steps explained in the policy don't help. "Horribad" isn't all too bad either, so just shrug it off and contribute elsewhere.

As much as I do understand that tirades of hatred should be prevented and upcoming conflicts should be given the chance to be solved before finally evolving I do think that some things have to be allowed on any user's talk page may his or her relevanve in any forms of life (be it the real one or virtual) as big as imaginable because in the end, a convention can only work in a righteouss community if it applies to everyone and every case. Some people like philosophic discussions, some prefer granting contact places and some people love some humor on their talk pages. However, it is very unfair to forbid any sort of those (and potentially unsaid ones) and it is definitely an arbitrary action to punish without any form of discussion or try of a work-around as it happened not once but several times on Izzy's talk page. I do know that such a speedy deletion of comments can be an emergency and last way of handling problems that escalate far too much for the proper bureaucratic system. But keep in mind that last implies the existence of first and far too often first actions which are (but do not limit to) discussion, exemplification, voting or a simple form of something comparable to a lawsuit have not been used. To return to and expatiate my issue, I do demand that simple and humor which is not meant to hurt or disturb the "life" on the Wiki shall be - in a non-overabunding way - allowed anywhere, including Izzy's talk page. By that, I want you to think about the deletion of my comment (rf. [1]). If it is decided by not one but a group with voting weight, I will bow and let said comment in its deleted state. Generally I'd agree, but two-thousand pages is an awful lot. There are a lot more harmful templates (2000 isn't much), and since we changed the job level settings, we never had any issues with high job queue numbers. The skill infobox for example was changed last week multiple times in a row, resulting in a really high job queue, but you didn't notice any lag whereever we would stop the wiki for some minutes by protecting it (based on my belief that the weird protection but is still around) poke | talk 08:11, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Removed NPA comments

I wanted to post that at 14:15 on May 2, I removed comments that I felt to be in breach of the NPA rules. This is not the first time that my page has been used to insult different members of the community, but I recently learned that I can remove the content and am not obliged to archive it.

While my Support Issues page is designed to allow players to ask questions, express thoughts, and seek help with issues, I have noticed that it seems to be attracting the attention of a few players who are bitter about their game account terminations and are acting out on both that page and my Talk page. I have addressed their questions and comments, up to and including letting them know that action on their game account is decidedly not based on wiki activity. (Our GM team is not active on the Wiki so would not have a point of reference.) After I verify the appropriateness of the Support actions in question I archive when we get to a pointless circular discussion.

Stating that link from the wiki to Arenanet's email accounts is broken right now as gaile has stated? I dont know where else to post this and I didnt wanna start a discussion thread somewhere were it wouldnt be noticed since alot of people probably use the wiki to email the devs. Plus, it's probably an admin handled thing. I just don't want ppl getting upset that they arent getting their emails read, and it needs to be posted since I didnt even find out about it until i was digging through gaile's talk page. Personal Attacks

The Support Team, after careful review, took action against a couple of players whose history of repeated in-game violations and a provable record of misbehavior simply could not be ignored any further. Since that time, my page has become a hotbed of protestations, untruths, insults, and repeated thread hijacking. Today's contributions by Shard and Uchida Lena in this thread are entirely unacceptable. I would like to request an NPA review of that page and other, linked pages involving the parties in question. They're mostly mutually exclusive. An arbitration request is a more official review, calling in the bureaucrats to decide the best course of action. The arbitration committee can impose mandates on parties involved, so they can't post in specific namespaces (i.e., those users would be disallowed from posting on your talk page). Leaving it up to individual sysops can produce... well, individual results. One does not usually request both at once, however, as it could be seen as quite the double jeopardy - two bans for one crime. If you have more questions, we should move it to the talk page. -Auron 02:47, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

I wouldn't exactly call them mutually exclusive. In the past, when an active arbitration case has involved a blocked user, that user has been temporarily unblocked to present a case and effectively "put on probation": instructed to restrict edits to the arbitration case's talk page. In one instance, a user was specifically informed that that any edits outside of the arbitration case's talk page would result in the block being reinstated, however in the other case, there was was no explicit warning. Help Please

There is a user on this wiki who has gone to all extents to cause me grief. I know there is no sure way to ban him or anything, because of proxy servers and such...but please...can you guys help me by doing something about him? He has done many things to make my life trouble. His name is Maximillian Greil. He was in zos for a short while and did not have access to the guild only forums. So what did he do? He begged someone who did, to get him pictures of me. Which is how he had got in hold of some of my pictures. A short while later he was kicked from ZoS for harassment and stalking. If you'd like to verify this, please contact White Wasabi. He is an officer in the guild and one of the first officers I turn to when something happens. To continue on... I actually got some emails about it and such. I do not feel this is cool or funny. I am pretty sure, he is the one who replaced my original picture up on wiki...which I asked for it to be removed. So now I am asking for you guys to help me as he is going out of his way to harass me. I hope this can be taken care of and my apologies that this is so long. harassment

I am also being harassed by having a picture posted of myself that I would not like to be posted... I quit the wiki to avoid this kind of harassment.
