Gyala hatchery access
I am trying to run my second character (on same account) to the hatchery but I do not get the quest to take the eggs there to gain entry. I have already done this with my first character. I even tried to give yet another 10,000 luxon points to elder rhea, but I do not get the quest or gain access to the hatchery to continue since my characters "share" the freind of the luxons title...
is there a way to get into the hatcery to do the mission without doing the quest to get there first? 68.42.46.36 00:50, 16 October 2008 (UTC)dawn68.42.46.36 00:50, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- No. Factions is the most unfriendly to running. You must do the relevant quest before you can can entry to most mission outposts. -- ab.er.rant 01:18, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- (Edit Conflict) Nope. You'll need to follow the storyline - quests and all - to gain access. I'd suggest looking at the List of Factions missions to see the exact quests you'll need, and check to see if you have - or have finished - some of the ones you needed. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 01:19, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- You could try to join a party with someone who has the quest, but relying on a random PUG isn't exactly a guaranteed way to get anywhere... :P
- If you don't have any friend/guild-mate/ally with that said quest, I'd suggest you to take the whole quest-chain to get access there: Journey to Cavalon → Befriending the Luxons → Stolen Eggs ::Have you checked your quest log to see which Primary Quest you have done? --NIN37 02:27, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, joining a party won't help; it'll still come up with a locked door when you get to the outpost (and probably annoy the rest of the group). Factions is very unfriendly in that regard. Running from Zos Shivros Channel to Cavalon is probably one of the only real instances of "skipping ahead" in the entire game (and that still doesn't let you skip quests/missions). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 03:12, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hmmm... If you join a party with people who already did the quest, you'll find the closed doors, true. But if you join a party with people doing the quest (i.e., taking the bundle item to the NPC in front of the outpost), I'm almost sure you'll be able to get ferried in there (but you might need to fulfill some requirements or you may get booted from the party when cinematic starts).
- Got my character to Tahnnakai Temple without doing the quest myself (if I exit that outpost, though, I'll find closed/non-working door). Also, got to Arborstone without completing A Meeting With the Emperor (therefor, not having The Count's Daughter) with someone else talking to the Lift Operator.
- Seems, though, I cannot get ferried to Vizunah Square (Local Quarter) without doing first two missions (perhaps just the second one is really needed). Get booted during cinematics; after beating both missions, I can join any party doing eitehr Mayhem in the Market or Welcome to Cantha to unlock both outposts. Obviously, can't just ferry people to Raisu Palace. :P
- So, again, if you join a party doing the quest, you might be able to get to that outpost (but probably you'll need to have beaten at least Sunjiang District and/or its subsequent primary quests, Journey to Cavalon or Befriending the Luxons...
- Well, right now I do not have any character close to that part of the storyline (either they're still at 4th or 5th mission or they've already beaten the game (and accepted quest reward) so I can't really test it right now. I might try to rush some guild mate there, but that should take a while to happen... mainly because most of my friends are casual players and I'm not really into random PUG (reason why I hate two-party missions)... :P --NIN37 08:30, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
how do you remove someone from your ignore list?
Is there a way to remove someone from your ignore list so you can talk to them again? I accidently ignored the person and want to add them back. How do I do that? Thanks
--24.67.92.10 15:29, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- click the "person" icon and choose "do not ignore anymore". - Y0_ich_halt 15:43, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hit "N" to open your Friends List. Find the person you no longer want to ignore. Left-click the icon next to their name.
- You can either move them to your friend list or remove them from all lists.
- Similarly, you can move people from your friend list to your ignore list. --NIN37 17:50, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry for going a bit off-topic (don't think this question really deserves a new section), but how "updated" is that "If a player on your ignore list tries to whisper you, they will receive a message in green text saying '{Your Character's Name} is ignoring you'." statement?
- Nowadays, seems you'll show up as "always being offline" (hence, can't be whispered to) to anyone in your ignore list (might need to check this, but since I just have one account, I can't test it by myself). --NIN37 18:26, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Guild Wars Freezing while 20 times
GW is Freezing up about 20 times a mission. When I am fighting it locks up and shuts down. This is the only game that does it. - first, it's not "our" game, since "we" are not anet but actually players like you who most likely have problems with gw every now and then, too. second, the reason for your problem might be a corrupted gw.dat file. you could try starting gw with the -repair tag and see if that works. might take some time, though, if you've been playing for a long time already. the larger the file already is, the longer it takes to repair. - Y0_ich_halt 19:26, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

- To quote from the Panda article: "The panda was removed from the game prior to release because of local laws: in China you are not allowed to depict the death of an endangered species (such as the panda) in a video game."
- While this would include the Tiger, it's only for China; I don't think it would be removed solely for that, although perhaps something would be done for the game in China. I don't know enough about China's censorship laws to know how they would affect something of this nature (an animal becoming endangered after the release of the game). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:24, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

- Clicking on either of the individual material will lead to its own article, which should have more than enough info on what is it used for.
- Also, Common crafting material and Rare crafting material might have some extra info as well.
- GuildWiki has some info on what uses rare crafting material and common material as well. Should we add such categories here as well or would that be a bit redundant?
- And no such thing as "unique crafting material" :P --NIN37 14:25, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
My Game keeps Crashing
Hi. My name is Kristopher Ambrefe. I am running Windows Vista Basic 32-bit, and i love guild wars. However, that being said, i'm a little upset as i have spent more than a handfulof hours trying to find an answer to my problem. I have a 140GB HDD, 500W power supply, Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT OC (BFGTech) 512 ram GDDR3 video card, and AMD Athlon XP 3600+ 2.4Ghz Dual-core Processor. I know i am running directX 10, and an ample Sound Audigy Soudblaster Sound Card. Yet, and this is my problem, Everytime I want to play Guild Wars, It opens, I log-in and My computer Monitor goes blank. My tower is still running, and i still hear the music in the backgropund, but my visuals are gone there is nothing on the screen, it tells me to check my VGA, and/or DVI connections. I already know that everything is connected the right way, and yet i am confused. the only way I did get it to run for a little while was in 256 color mode. If you can get back to me with an answer for my problem, please do @ <email address removed>. NOT mY IP.....plz. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:98.217.99.168 (talk).
- You could update your video drivers (here's the Nvidia driver search page), if that doesn't work, you could try 3D-Analyze (see this page for instructions). -- Gordon Ecker 04:48, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Also try the Test my computer link on the login screen. That will run a diagnostic to tell you if there are any compatibility issues. -- Wyn 05:15, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Maybe your game is stuck at an unsupported resolution? From Game updates: Added a hotkey combination to address a video problem where the screen resolution would sometimes get stuck in a higher mode than the computer could render. Holding down CTRL-ALT-SHIFT while launching Guild Wars will now reset the resolution to 800x600..- Hmm... wait, you're able to get past login screen (so, you're typing it in-game)? And after that your screen goes blank (when you'd be seeing your characters)? If so, I'm short on ideas of what could be wrong (except for possible faulty drivers or corrupted gw.dat file). --NIN37 13:49, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Vista has had some notorious problems with virtual address space and video driver crashes, though I've never personally had it happen with Guild Wars (I may not have used settings high enough, however). I'd try drivers, as above, then this KB article/patch: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940105 --Falseprophet 22:09, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, I forgot one other potential issue - at the front of this graphics card is a power connector that needs to be plugged in; some cards will do basic functionality without the extra power, so it could possibly be that (most of the newer cards I've tried without this power have just failed, however). --Falseprophet 22:18, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

- Alternatively, try this free, simple, and quick test to check if your computer meets the requirements (make sure you choose Guild Wars: Eye of the North, as later incarnations of GuildWars make heavier demands on systems). Your RAM seems a bit low to me, but honestly I'm not exactly a computer hardware genius, so better to just use the link I've provided. ^~__~^;;; --Dragon nataku 02:38, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- That card has 512MB of Video RAM (GDDR3 is Graphics Double Data Rate version 3, and is essentially a cooler, faster DDR2, not to be confused with DDR3). The poster did not specify system RAM. Vista Basic should work fine - it mostly just doesn't have the DirectX 9 accelerated Aero theme, which means nothing when in-game. --Falseprophet 21:31, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Gaining XP
Dear Gamers, My husband and I had a question if the experience system in the game has changed recently. We see no updates to guild wiki in case of it. We have two separate accounts and we are trying to get survivor. I am set as an assassin and my husband a ritulist. We noticed that if we are in a party together my husband is not gaining any experience unless he has a blow that actually hits. since he is trying to work as a healer it means alot of time I am killing stuff and he is not getting any xp because either he was healing me or his blow hadn't landed yet. however if you look on the guild wiki page on experience that doesn't say you have to kill or hit the person to gain experience. In fact on another part when farming xp in factions it talks about using a ruik quest to farm xp and not having to kill anything yourself. Oh and his character was standing right behind my character so he was close to the monster. Thanks Candice and Bill--66.171.113.246 05:10, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- IIRC there was a discussion about this a year or two back. I think Gaile confirmed that it wasn't a bug, but I'm not sure. -- Gordon Ecker 06:34, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- I couldn't find any official comments, but I did find a discussion about it on this talk page on the other wiki explaining how kill credit works. -- Gordon Ecker 06:46, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

- I don't believe they are talking about getting LDoA, I think they are simply talking about the range and mechanics of gaining xp. I do know you need to be within casting range of the foes to gain xp, and quite simply trying to earn survivor this way is going to take you literally forever. Your best bet, (if you don't want to use any of the xp farms listed on Survivor) is to work through the story lines and gain your xp from quest rewards and missions, as well as using the Signet of Capture to gain the 5000 xp per elite skill. The 29 secondary quests available in the Kaineng Center area prior to even doing Vizunah Square will gain you 87,000 xp and about 25 of them can be done in about 2 hrs of just running around killing everything once, and then just talking to the different NPC's. -- Wyn 07:39, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- actually I was asking why it is you can gain xp with out hitting the creature but my hubby who was playing with me cant gain xp when he is standing right behind me and the creature is in his bubble. I understand what you are saying about lag but we sit right next to each other on laptops and compared it. He was right behind me but wasn't getting xp if his blow didn't hit before the creature died or if he was healing me. so what is behind the game machanic and is it different than in that quest or henchies doing the killing vrs another Player Character--66.171.113.246 03:40, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- OK, I did some tests myself (Lakeside County, just outside Ascalon City, killing low level Skales). Seems that Pre-Searing now has some sort of anti-leeching system (no idea when/why it was implemented).
- When just one character does all the job (by job I mean attacking/killing), "leecher" will get no XP.
- This does not seem happen on Post-Searing.
- I had moved this discussion from HELP:GAME to user_talk page cause it had became unnecessarily cluttered plus I had misunderstood Original Poster's question (my bad). Moved the relevant discussion back to HELP:GAME article. Sorry for the mess. :( --NIN37 13:16, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Rephrasing OP's question: why does Pre-Searing seem to have an anti-leech system that prevents characters in a 2-player party to get any XP unless they successfully hit the enemy before it dies, while XP can still be leeched from NPC killing mobs (Prince Rurik doing Charr at the Gate, for example)? --NIN37 13:40, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Running out of AOE spells?
In PvE, it seems that enemies will often run away from AOE spells, as if leaving the area in which they were cast stops the effect. Reading the description of AOE spells here, I can't tell whether that would be true or not.
So, in other words, if I cast Eruption on a target, and a nearby enemy also starts taking damage, can that enemy run away from the initial target/location in order to remove the damage and/or blinding effect? Or are AOE spell effects in place once they are cast?
129.7.108.207 20:12, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- As of the Nov 10, 2005 update, monsters (and henchies) flee Area of Effect within 3-4 seconds, wait 2-3 seconds, then return, which means long duration spells such as fire storm may hit them again, even if they've left (in Hard Mode, they [usually] will not return until the spell ends, however). If you want to keep a monster in the nuke for the full duration, a snare should be used. Note that a monster leaving the AoE will not end the spell, but with a 5 second spell like Eruption, the monster will not enter again once it has fled the area - if another monster enters that area within the 5 seconds (e.g. from chasing a player), however, that creature will start to take damage and be blinded. --Falseprophet 22:57, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Is this true for PvP as well, that AoE DoTs are escapable? I think I'll retire my elementalist... If I could suggest a change to the devs, maybe have the damage be escapable but not the condition. Eruption would read:
All nearby foes are blinded for 10 seconds. Foes remaining in the spell's area take X damage per second.
Otherwise, everyone would run right through Eruption, and a 25 energy spell is less effective than Throw Dirt.
70.138.140.218 16:50, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe you're not familiar with the spell Eruption - it creates an Area where damage occurs every second for 5 seconds. The area is centered on a target - in this case your opponent. Some spells center on yourself (Bed of Coals). IF you are in the area during those five seconds (running through or standing still), you will be hit by the spell. Running or not - you get hurt and receive the condition unless you're protected in some way from one or both. The condition lasts 10 seconds and does re-apply when you get hit again (that's the really annoying part of this spell). As a warrior, it only took me a few times to learn that I have to watch for the graphics on the battle field to show that there is an AOE happening there - and to stay away to avoid the bad effects (damage and blind for 10s in this case). As for comparing it to Throw Dirt - there is none. Throw Dirt happens once, then you remove the condition, keep hacking. With this, if you try to remove the condition before leaving the area, you just wasted a skill to watch the condition come right back and you're still taking damage. That's the real intent of spells like this - to get the melee classes off your tail while you regen the energy to start really hurting them. The damage is just icing. 64.32.249.154 19:28, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Does the blind condition last the full 10 seconds even if the foe leaves the area of effect?
- Yes - as the spell's AoE effect doesn't even last a full ten seconds, it would have to. -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 14:51, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

is it possible to have a single profession if you are in a group with someone in presearing who accepts the ascalon academy mission thing and you dont have a secondary profession and are taken through the mission and into postsearing without gaining a secondary profession? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:75.90.91.3 (talk).
- I'm assuming you're asking if there is any way to get out of pre-searing Ascalon without getting a secondary profession. In order to start the mission Ascalon Academy, one of the requirements is to have a secondary profession chosen. If you join up with someone who has a secondary profession, but you don't, it won't allow the mission to start. --tero 01:57, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Chest drops as rare as boss drops?
Well i just beat the cathedral of flames. And i was rather sad. A Onyx gem and the quest item dropped. So i did it again, same thing. Is chest drops rare like farming off a boss? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:66.49.50.251 (talk).
- The unique items drop from that particular chest quite often, in fact, the onyx gem you got is worth more than pretty much anything you are going to get from that one. - By the way, the risk Kokuou mentions doesn't exist. There is zero risk involved in sharing or giving accounts. --71.229.253.172 08:06, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- Technically, it's against the EULA to share an account, since it's supposed to be used for "personal use only" and is "nontransferable (except as permitted in Section 4(a)". Section 4(a) says something like if you're minor, your parents or guardians (your brother, perhaps?) should create you an account so you can play.
- However, sharing accounts is more a problem about security than a legal issue itself.
- If the person one shares their account with steals their stuff, it's their own fault for trusting such person, so contacting support about being scammed won't help too much; also since sharing isn't endorsed by the EULA, chances are asking for help on doing something you weren't even supposed to do will not give you a good first impression. :P
- Sure, if OP can't be trust by his/her own brother, guess there isn't much anyone else we could do, eh? :) --NIN37 18:38, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Hero elite healing?
I set my hero up with some pretty good healing skills, im not sure what to use as a elite. I was reading on wiki that heroes don't use word of healing or glimmer light effectively. Anyone know which healing skills they use well? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:66.49.50.251 (talk).
- Word of healing is pretty hard to use wrong. It's a decent heal when allies are over 50% and it's an amazing heal when they're under 50%. It's probably your strongest option for hero healing, unless you want to take Healer's Boon and micro heal parties so he doesn't run out of energy. -Auron 03:49, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Light of Deliverance is another skill that heroes tend to use well. Also, if you want to go the protection route, Zealous Benediction is a viable option. --tero 11:45, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Problem with Damage to my Hero Smiter while 600/Smite farming
I've been trying to use 600/smite to farm Admiral Kaya in HM and I keep watching my hero smiter die about halfway into the fight. I'm using the 600/smite team from pvxwiki (Me - 600 Monk with Spell Breaker and Visage, Dunkoro - Smiter with BIP) I'm disabling ALL of Dunkoro's skills so I can activate them manually and I'm still watching him die a little piece at a time. I'm doing fine with the 600, but as soon as my Retribution and Holy Wrath disappear, it's just a waste of time. Also, I keep getting this corsair group with atleast one Mind Reader, which is different from the Floodplains page listing for Corsairs (should he be added). I've checked the skill lists for all of the enemies and can't find anyone with a skill that should be hitting my Smiter at that distance. I retested in Normal Mod and I killed Kaya just fine, but with only a Grappler (Dervish) two Wind Masters (Ele) and a Doctor (Monk) left, they're still doing damage to Dunkoro on occasion even though he's way out of spell casting range. I did eventually die for lack of energy (not enough hits to power the 600 build), but I stuck around long enough to figure out that one of them is doing the damage to Dunkoro at quite a range. They don't even have enchant removal! Is there a bugged skill here? 64.32.249.154 17:21, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- The skill that's killing your hero is Reversal of Damage, used by the Corsair Doctors. As your bonder is considered the player who "deals" the damage, through Retribution and Holy Wrath, he is the one getting the damage returned from this skill. The only way around it is to bring an additional healer to keep your bonder alive. The same problem is encountered when 600/smiting CoF. — Why 18:15, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, I hadn't thought to check the monk for return damage skills. Makes sense now. I guess I'll try a different tactic to farm this guy for his green (or bring Tahlkora along to bond Dunkoro) 64.32.249.154 19:14, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

so i have to play him for 1 year?
- essentially, yes. he has to "exist" for one year to be elegible for the birthday gift. -- Wandering Traveler 05:32, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Each character celebrates their own birthday. So, if you create two characters on the same day (say, when you bought the game), then you'll have two birthday presents (one for each of them) after one year. If you delete a character before it completes 1 year, it will not earn a Birthday Present.

Heart of shiverpeaks quest boss?
Im a n/mo, i tryed taking down the boss for the heart of the shiverpeaks boss, that worm thing. I have been using henchs and heroes, and i tryed life stealing skills from blood magic, i also tryed using grenths balance. He still manages to kick my butt, anyone have any tips on what to do? wiki is rather vague for this battle. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:66.49.50.251 (talk).
- Bring a monk hero with Protective Spirit and healing skills such as Word of Healing. You and the monk should be able to take Cyndr down rather easily (keep other heroes/henchmen flagged way back), though you'll probably have to micro prot spirit (meaning, disable the skill on the hero's bar and force him/her to cast it - make sure it's constantly up on both of you). ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 23:29, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Cyndr the Mountain Heart, right.
- Hmm; Cyndr's not super-hard to beat, but still a challenge. One thing listed on Cyndr's page is to have someone keep him poisoned; a Ranger's your best bet for that. You'll need to bring a hero to do the poisoning, since none of the henchmen have the skills; Apply Poison is the simplest way to do it. (Stuff like Distracting Shot and Savage Shot are also extremely helpful to have on a hero.)
- Protective Spirit's a great help as well; Cyndr only does like three attacks, but they can all do a ton of damage. Lina - one of the Monk henchmen in EotN - has Prot. Spirit on her bar.
- Grenth's Balance is one tactic, yeh; might take a while to kill with just that, but it does go through Cyndr's shell. I'd suggest blowing Cyndr's shell off though, and letting the heroes/henchmen do the brunt of the damage. Degeneration hexes might be a good idea for you to bring too.
- Make sure to give every one of your heroes a seperate flag, since all of Cyndr's attacks are AoE. The henchmen will still be gathered up, but at least your heroes - and you - won't all die in one hit.
- So long as you've got Prot. Spirit on you, you should be pretty tough to kill; you can just run up to Cyndr and set off power kegs over and over. With everyone else spread out and on solid ground, it shouldn't be hard to kill Cyndr. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 23:32, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- IIRC, health degeneration won't work until you've taken Cyndr's armor down. Usually I bring 2 Necromancer heroes with life stealing to do the trick (sometimes one of them dies...). Third hero being a Monk with Unyielding Aura can revive the fallen Necromancer almost instantly. Having some protection/healing skill should help too. :P
- Having the rest of the party running around just to make sure your necros won't get wiped so often could make taking this boss down pretty fast. Only problem about bringing 2 N + 1 Mo is getting to 3rd level without getting wiped (but Death Penalty isn't a big issue here). :P
- Human party usually works better because they don't stay too close to each other (so don't get wiped so often), but this dungeon is doable with a full Hero+Henchman party (I usually take both Monks and both Elementalist cause I'm plain lazy).
- Sometimes it is possible to use Life-Stealing skills behind the wall (thus not getting hit by Pyroclastic Shot), but, even if you can't get a good spawning location, it's still possible to kill the boss with life-stealing. --NIN37 01:39, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Following the Trail only becomes available after completing Big News, Small Package. Since it seems that you have completed Big News, Small Package, given by Castellan Puuba, Tahlkora should be selectable as a hero in your party menu. (Drop down list or the Hero Tab.) - Each campaign comes with a new set of skills that can be added to your skills list. Factions will allow you to participate in Alliance Battles, and will allow you access to both elite missions The Deep and Urgoz's Warren. Nightfall will provide you with heroes which are basically customizable henchmen that you can add to your party, and will also grant you access to the elite mission area The Domain of Anguish where you can earn Tormented weapons. -- Wyn 09:57, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Drop Level-Type of item/value
Is the drop 'value' of an item dependant on your Tresure Hunter, Luck skill etc or is the valuation of the drop primarily linked to the mission/area itself within the game. I realise that in HM there will be a greater item value drop(ie more gold items and money) but I was just curious as to whether there is also a link to titles like Treasure Hunter, or indeed a level 20 char may get greater drop value than a level 10, that sort of thing.
Also is there a 'good' farming place(any package) for gold items(HM or Normal) that is especially lucrative, or is it just pot luck on the item drops.
Lastly the rune for +50 heath. Can I presume that this item will be/can be salvaged eventually. It's one of the very few I haven't got. I prefer to get the drop, than pay the 20k for this item
Cheers
--Markw 12:18, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
- The value of any drop is mostly dependent on the area it comes from. NM and HM seem to have little relationship to the values. As for places to farm, that is not necessarily information that is maintained on the wiki, you might try some of the Fansite forums. And yes, it is possible to get Superior Vigor runes from gold armor drops. -- Wyn 12:42, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Item of Value- Colour
It seems to me that Gold items themselves has lost a little rarity, 'cause one you reach level 20 and farm in HM items appear to be relatively common. I appreciate that green items are Boss weapons so that befits their category, but has anyone in GW development thought of introducin the very rare level of say using platinum as the identity colour. These would be similair to greens, but allow modification, drop at a very occasional rate.
Your thoughts please. This would definately reinvent interest in getting rare items, which, in my personal game play opinion has wained a little.
My only item that I am really proud of is a Deldrimor sword(Gold) that has a face value of 1.5 k. Dread to think what its market value will be!!

I looked at the Wiki for the factions, but it didn't make much sense.--68.82.230.39 01:58, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- You can change your allegiance by going to House zu Heltzer and speaking to the Kurzick Ambassador. -- Wyn 02:00, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- Quick summary can be found at Allegiance article. --NIN37 09:19, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Gwen
In Pre where is Gwens Mother and What is her name? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:68.59.36.39 (talk).
- Her name is Sarah, and she's in Lakeside County next to the resurrection shrine in Ashford Village.-- Wyn 02:56, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- She's not always there, though. Might need to rezone a few times until you can find her. --NIN37 09:10, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
rip-off players ??!!??
I was ripped off by a player that claimed he would take me on a run...he then "ignored" me what can i do about it..and will him "ignoring" me have any affect on my account?
- 1) Please sign your comments (type four ~ thingies at the end). 2) Can't do much unless you took screenshots of the exchange (if you did, you can contact official support and see if they'll do something about it, but if you don't have screenshots don't bother, as it's just your word against the scammer). 3) Him ignoring you doesn't affect your account in any way. He just will not receive any pm's you send him, and won't be able to read any messages you type in any other chat (allchat, trade, whatever). --Dragon nataku 15:01, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- To avoid this happening in the future, don't trust any runner who wants you to pay him/her before they run you. Paying halfway through a long run is legit, they've at least proved they're serious about running you (and you can't scam them for a free run either). But if they want the full price before you even know if they can run you, chances are they'll just take your gold and split.
- Don't expect Support to be able to get your gold back either, but you can at least get the scammer banned if you've got screenshots. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 18:21, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
