Zaishen Daily Quests
Issue: Zenchu, the Reward NPC, does not give you a choice on what bounty to collect if you have multiple finished.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Example: I had the 2 wins in Heroes Ascent completed, but was working on the bonuses. I took a break and completed a Boss Bounty and went for the reward; but Zenchu handed me the HA reward- the quest I wasn't done working on yet.
Additional info: Zenchu needs to be updated with an optional 'choose which bounty' dialogue, or the separate bounties need their own reward NPCs.
- This was fixed in yesterday's build. Thanks! --Andrew Patrick 19:03, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Defending the Eye
Ok first of all, someone please help me with the code on this site. Issue: when doing the quest where you defend Eye of the North outpost (name?) I tried to resign and I failed the quest but never died nor got teleported back to the outpost. Just a minor one...
- Whenever you resign during Service: In Defense of the Eye it starts a countdown timer letting you know when you will be returned to the outpost. However, it looks like it's possible for that timer to disappear prematurely. You probably would have been teleported after 30 seconds or so, even without the timer displaying properly. As you mentioned, resigning doesn't force your party to die either, so you don't get the button to return. This makes it appear that you have no option but to split party and map travel out. I passed along your report. Thank you. -Kim Chase 21:53, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Also, you should check out the page Help:Editing to get started on wiki code. There are many other links in Help:Contents that might be useful to you. For example, you can automatically sign your posts by typing ~~~~ at the end of your comments. -Kim Chase 21:59, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Give Peace a Chance
Issue: Hayda may frequently get stuck between the White Mantle groups whilst they are still non-hostile NPCs, preventing her from reaching the quest point, and in turn preventing the White Mantle from turning to enemies which stops the quest all together.
How to fix: Possibly make the White Mantle move around slightly whilst in non-hostile, similar to that of the NPCs prior to battle in Duel of the Houses, or alternately spread the White Mantle NPCs out so they Hayda doesn't get stuck between them as easily.
Additional info: Seems impossible to dislodge her even after backtracking or luring enemies toward her. Prevents completion of quest altogether unless you exit the zone and restart, avoiding the White Mantle more carefully.
(Wasn't sure if this was the right place to put it since no one else had posted on this page yet >.< please move if needed.)
Blobulator 12:18, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- I wasn't able to make this happen, is it still occurring for you? Hayda was able to get through all of the NPCs and trees when I tried. Ben Kirsch 21:45, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- After speaking to the designer of this quest, a fix was put in soon after this report was made. Ben Kirsch 22:57, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- Augh this happened four times, i got lazy so i flagged heros away, shadow formed there, and when i got there, hadya was stuck behind a tree and not following me, this happened less than 3 weeks ago, somewhere in march, its not fixed Annoying And Deadly 23:12, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Warband of Brothers
Issue:Prison keys can not be picked if your inventory is full even though they don't take up any space
How to fix:Make it so prison keys can be picked up with a full pack
Additional info:This may also affect similar items in other missions or quests.
Broodling67 00:35, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Since posting this I have been through several dungeons and I run across the same problem with keys there, this is a minor bug with an easy work around but it would be nice to not have to drop an item to pick up the key (especially in a PUG). Broodling67 13:24, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Forwarded this to the designers. Not sure if this is by design or a bug. Will update once I find out. Thanks. Bobby Stein 21:27, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- I took a look at Warband of Brothers and it seems like having a full inventory isn't preventing you from picking up a prison key anymore. If this is still happening with any other dungeons, please report them by name. -Kim Chase 17:48, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Terrorweb Queen
Issue:Once taking the quest it is automatically "Completed"
How to fix:Make players kill the Queen before the quest log says it is "Completed"

- This was fixed in the 9/27 Update. Mike Zadorojny 5:17, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know, we just had a bug involving the terrorweb queen, full human party, did all the other quests, under "Restore the Monuments", it showed as cleared automatically, the reaper never spawned and we didn't get the reward. Alex Morningstar 08:39, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the update. I haven't been able to reproduce the error you are describing yet, but I will continue to try and figure out what caused it. Are there any more details you know of for how to force this to happen? I completed the 8 other quests first, and everything worked fine for me. I'll post again if we find what caused this to occur. Ben Kirsch 20:28, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- We went again last week, 8 human players, no disconnects. This time however we cleared all the areas and all the reapers spawned. From what I can gather when I have discussed it with others, it really is hit or miss, but seems to effect the Spawning Pools, Twin Serpent Mountain, and the Bone Pits reapers the most. I have set to see the reaper not spawn at the other locations. When the bug/error did occur, the effect was instant. As soon as the last red dot died, the quest for Restore the Monuments showed as complete, as if the reaper of the pools had appeared and we had done the quest... only he hadn't and we didn't. Bug with MM and NPC quests?
Hi there I am referring to this thread in guru: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10196996
A member of this forum suggested that minions cause the scripting for the NPC's walk to break (if this makes sense to you).
Quests: Tower of Strength in Fissure of Woe. Bug? Tower mage will not open tower when minions are around.
Quests: To Tahnakai Temple Bug? Mehnlo will not activate the next steps in the quests in my case even though Togo, Nika and others spawned the afflicteds didn't.
Goodluck
- The issue with the Tower Mage was fixed in the 3/13/08 Update. As for the Mhenlo issue in To Tahnnakai Temple, we are still working on that one. -Kim Chase 19:49, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
In the Service of Revenge
Issue:It is not necessary to kill Dvalinn Stonebreaker or his group.
How to fix: Require all Stone Summit in the camp including Dvalinn Stonebreaker and his group to be killed.
Additional info:None.

- The issue has been reported to design. Ben Kirsch 02:15, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
The Krytan Ambassador
Issue: Captain Osric only spawns in Old Ascalon when you are brought there after completing Ascalon Academy, if you or another party member runs into Ascalon City, Captain Osric will no longer spawn and you can't obtain the quest.
Steps to reproduce the issue:: Complete Ascalon Academy, enter Ascalon City, re-enter Old Ascalon.
Additional Info: None.

- I forwarded this question to design. Ben Kirsch 01:28, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- It looks like "steps to reproduce the issue" somehow got changed to "how to fix" after I made the post, I've corrected the entry. -- Gordon Ecker 00:48, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Battledepths
Issue: Quest icons aren't visible over NPC's after cinematics. This includes both the exclamation mark for an available quest and the "talk-to-this-NPC" arrow. It occurs after the cinematics at the end of Northern Allies and Heart of the Shiverpeaks.
How to fix:
Additional info: Given that this bug affects HoS, it could be a contributing factor in the bug noted above with DD/AtfH. There is no visible indication other than the quest log that you need to talk to Jalis for the quest reward. In a multi-player party, one person could possibly grab the reward for HoS and start DD without the other players being aware of the need to talk to Jalis for the HoS reward, breaking the quest sequence.

Service: Practice, Dummy
Issue: I beat the quest without doing anything but resign.
Steps to reproduce the issue: I tossed a build together but almost right upon loading in on a fast connection, I realized that I could make the build better, so I resigned. It immediately gave me credit for killing the 20 dummies.
Additional info: None
- Thanks for the report. -Kim Chase 20:56, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
New bug, Service: Practice, Dummy
Issue: Immediately upon completing the mission, myself and my entire party Died even though the quest completed
Steps to reproduce the issue: Unknown, may possibly require the killing shots on Dummies to be made through Degen/Conditions or DoT-spell damage ticks instead of direct damage
Additional info: None; ended too quickly to get a proper screenshot
- report by: --ilr 22:29, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- I couldn't get this to happen. Kim Chase 22:13, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
The Elusive Golemancer
Issue: The worker golem, which creates the fire protection aura against the Fire Darts, got stuck in a wall and hadn't moved anymore.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Try to direct him to the pillar
Additional info: Where often when I play this quest, he is on the verge of getting stuck. The quest must be started allover again
- We have let the designers know that the protective golem can become slowed down or stuck due to having players or enemies in his path. I'd like to point out that on many occasions the protective ring will continue to move even if the golem becomes stuck. If you encounter this problem, check and see if the ring is still moving and you may be able to continue without him. -Kim Chase 00:00, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Kurzick Supply Lines/Scouting Ferndale
Issue: While I was going along vanquishing Ferndale, I had a group of Luxon drop onto the map. I had neither quest in my log, or had even talked to any NPCs besides the Kurzick Priest and Merchand.
Steps to reproduce the issue: I had just defeated the necro drudge boss and was travelling to the east side of Ferndale
Additional info:
Wisdom of the Druids
Issue: Wisdom of the Druids
Steps to reproduce the issue: /kneel in front of the Dwayna monument in Druid's Overlook in an international district. Avatar of Dwayna will not show up. The same is also true for the Family Ties quest in Sardelac Sanitarium.
Additional info: zoned in from finishing Divinity Coast
- This issue has been reported. Thank you! -Kim Chase 21:11, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
im trying to fix bugs my character is a ranger.
The Egg Hunter
One of the Lash Devourer Creatures can't be attacked. Its stuck in the wall. I went there 2 times now and same thing everytime. Cause of the Creature being in there, the character who is suposed to collect the eggs won't come and get them (Lash Devourer is in the Area).

second preofessions
hi. i am having troubles buying new second prof in nightfall. i have succesfully completed the quest hunted! yet the proffesion changer in command post refuses to sell me sefcond profs, the same goes for the GToB one. if you think you know why then please contact me ingame on Exitium Deathclaw.
- Was your character created in Nightfall? Prophecies and Factions characters cannot change secondary professions unless they have completed Augury Rock or Nahpui Quarter. -- Gordon Ecker 00:26, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Fires in the North
Issue: <Fires in the North>
Steps to reproduce the issue: <Once the quest is complete, the radar marker will point towards Captain Arne in Ascalon City instead of Duke Barradin in Piken Square, but Duke Barradin is the one giving the reward.>
Additional info: <Completed the Quest.>

Blacktide Den Hero Issue
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk74/sidneykidney/useme.jpg
Issue: Blacktide Den (mission)
Steps to reproduce the issue: Completeing the mission with heroes and henchmen returns player to Sunspear Great Hall with more than 4 members in a party.
Additional info: Complete the mission 'Blacktide Den' with heroes in your party and henchmen that are present at Sunspear Great Hall eg. Khim
- We are aware of this. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. -Kim Chase 22:07, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Tihark Orchard
Issue: Tihark Orchard
Steps to reproduce the issue: Lumo the Mime doesn't preform his animations when you challenge him to a duel, or will preform some emotes before stopping.
Additional info: Nothing seems to cause it.
- Are you sure he's not loading the animations? Some of his emotes can be hard to see, like /bored and /laugh. -Kim Chase 22:26, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm sure. He'll be doing an animation and then will just stop and stand there. And I do mean, just stand there. I even went and made a quick pvp male ranger to check that I didn't have a corrupted .dat file. And someone else mentioned having the same problem on Lumo's talk page. Some of the one's i wasn't gettter were /cheer /bored /wave /goteam, which aren't subtle movements either. And I know he was "preforming" them, since if I entered in as many as I could of the ones I wasn't seeing, I could get the right one on occasion, and then he'd continue to the next emote. (So after much frustration, I did beat him.) Yukiko 03:50, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- I've challenged Lumo repeatedly and I haven't been able to reproduce the problem you are describing. I have never seen Lumo stand still when he should have done an emote. -Kim Chase 23:46, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well I am doing the mission now and it's hell annoying that I spent the last minutes trying to do the mime thing and he just doesn't do some emotes. Playing with a Ritualist here. I remember having similar issues in Team Fortress, when I minimize and them maximize the game some textures are missing as they failed to reload on DX9. Could this be similar? --SkyHiRider 17:16, 31 May 2009 (UTC
- Restarted the game, didn't minimize this time and some of the emotes are still broken, bummer.--SkyHiRider 17:27, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

- To me, it felt like a specific group of emotes were causing him to stop animating. Specifically I have noticed that right after he does /goteam or /excited (/ponder as well I think), he will stop and no longer show the next emote. I have completed that mission twice just now (forgot to bring the book), so I've observed it twice. -- ab.er.rant 00:27, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Sometimes, he didn't even start the first emote after beginning the challenge, so It's probably not a set of animations that cause the bug, also many people are not affected by this bug, so It could be some specific element that is present on the client side that causes the bug. But it still seems to me that quite a few people are experiencing this. --SkyHiRider 12:08, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- I am also experiencing this problem, I think it may be something on the client side, as I have recently changed computers. Lumo did what he's supposed to do on my old Toshiba on the same account, but not on my new windows partitioned MacBook Pro. He just stands there, or does a couple emotes then stands there and call me a baffoon. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:71.17.212.60 (talk).
- Still bugged after a year but I managed to complete it even with the bug. He simply doesn't show some emotes, but still reacts if you perform the correct one. While he was standing still (when he really should be doing the emote), I copy/pasted *really* fast all the emotes he never showed and he reacted to the correct one. Hopefully this helps a bit. --Se7en 14:09, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Kilroy Stonekin's Punch-Out Extravaganza!
[[1]] [[2]]
Issue: Kilroy Stonekin's Punch-Out Extravaganza!
Steps to reproduce the issue: I were able to kill Fronis Irontoe, without killing Mahgma´s group
Additional info: just go around them(->pic 2)
- Thanks for the report. -Kim Chase 23:53, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Jennur's Hord Mission
I don't understand I have done this mission 4 times and I kill the extra harbingers but the mission doesn't update and I do not get masters. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Kelandra (talk).
- You have to kill the entire mob surrounding the Bonus Harbingers as well. Karuro 13:28, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- That's true, you need to kill not just the harbingers but also the margonites that are grouped with them. Hopefully we can change the text so this isn't misleading. -Kim Chase 01:15, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Vizunah Square
Can't seem to find an entry for this and after several consecutive guild attempts at Master's in HM foiled only by the mission's extremely bad scripting I feel like this needs some attention.
Issue:The Vizunah Square mission's script depends on Master Togo following the party to certain locations on the map to trigger events. However, Master Togo is very bad at navigating the area and will frequently get stuck, particularily when minions are involved and the party moves around fast - which are otherwise good ideas if the players are interested in getting the Master's reward. This can make the long mission very frustrating even in the absence of random treasure chests getting the two NPC's stuck.
How to fix:Get somebody who actually knows how to script for GW to fix the mission; add code to the script to make sure Togo follows the party and does _not_ stop doing so. Consider adding a hack to "teleport" Togo to the party leader if he has not moved for some time and is a considerable distance away from the party, or when the party reaches a new "fighting arena" and Togo is far away. Make talking to either Mhenlo or Togo reset their "follow party leader" script.
Additional info:Based on a long, unintended study of the mission's scripting, Togo gets stuck most frequently after the second large fight right before walking across the bridge. Mhenlo doesn't seem to get completely stuck as easily.
--88.85.130.54 16:37, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- I understand that you may have become frustrated at this mission, but please try to keep comments civil on the wiki.
- The issues causing this problem are based on some universal functionality more than scripting issues in this specific mission. However, as you explained, it can be especially problematic in Vizunah Square since Togo needs to hit certain locations himself. There is a designer looking into how to prevent this kind of problem from happening throughout Guild Wars. Thank you for the report. -Kim Chase 18:03, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Unwanted Guests: Vengeful Aatxe scripting issue
Issue: During Unwanted Guests, each Vengeful Aatxe will only die if its Keeper of Souls is dead and it is not currently aggroed.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Aggro a Vengeful Aatxe, kill its' Keeper.
Additional info: Quest dialogue implies that killing an Aatxe's Keeper should be sufficient to kill it.

The Four Horsemen
Issue: Two of the horsemen were not registered as killed
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Additional info: Underworld speed clear (HM, 30mins) All quests complete except Imprisoned Spirits and Four Horsemen
--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:79.66.109.150 (talk).
- We are aware of this issue and hope to have it fixed in the future. In the meantime, you can prevent this from happening by waiting a couple of seconds after they pop before you attack the horsemen. Thank you! -Kim Chase 01:27, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Secrets in the Shadow
Issue: One of the groups of droughtlings will not register as being defeated (the one time I noticed during the fighting instead of when all are dead it was the eastern group so I assume that's the bugged one).
Steps to reproduce the issue: Talk to Dejah so the droughtlings would spawn.
Additional info: It's a primary quest so this is extremely annoying. The bug already exists some time, it exists at least since the end of July.

Althea's Ashes
Issue: My character got stuck inside of a small ornamental bonfire in Flame Temple Corridor
Steps to reproduce the issue: I was attacking a Charr, he retreated, I continued to attack so my character auto-advanced into attack range, after the battle was done I was stuck inside the bonfire and could not get out
Additional info: I attempted to move using keyboard, using mouse, clicking nearby treasure, rotating through 360 degrees while moving forward, sitting, kneeling, etc. and nothing unstuck me. The only noticeable movement I could achieve was to rotate my character but never any forward or sideways movement. I had to resign.
--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:72.222.240.210 (talk).
- I searched the map and wasn't able to find this bonfire. Has anyone been able to reproduce this issue? Leah Rivera 17:56, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Money on the Side
Issue: The dialogue between the two NPCs (Dzaga and Sakku) is displayed out of order.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Walking to the meeting place between both NPCs triggers the dialogue.
Additional info: Here's the order the dialogue is displayed:
- Dzaga: "Ah, Sakku. It's good to see you on time for once."
- Dzaga: "You know the deal, Sakku. Nothing's changed. Price is non-negotiable."
- Sakku: "Enough banter Dzaga. Let's talk prices."
- Dzaga: "I've been working this deal for months, Sakku. Don't tell me you're backing out now."
- Sakku: "Perhaps you could be persuaded to change your mind, Dzaga? I find myself short on cash."
- Sakku: "Not backing out, just changing the terms. The new deal is this: you give me the goods and I give you your life."
- Sakku: "Maybe I've learned a few things since we last met, like bringing friends with me to a meet. Get 'em boys! Careful of the goods. Anything you destroy comes out of your pay...and outta yer hides!"
Also, Sakku becomes hostile too soon; by the time his last lines are displayed, he will likely be dead already. Erasculio 01:41, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

The Elusive Golemancer
Issue: Occasionally the worker golem will not pull the lever and say "Invalid Command" when spoken to. If this happens you must restart. Another bug found is that sometimes after finishing the quest and returning to Rata Sum you can get an error and it will make your quest not count and you have to restart. It has already been known to do that on it's page but not reported. I tried it out and it does happen too often.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Just take the quest and do it.
Additional info: None

Finding Gadd
Issue: Without accepting the reward for finding Gadd it is possible to start finding the bloodstone
Steps to reproduce the issue: I was helping out my dauhther with Fiding Gadd and when we succefully returned to the camp. I started finding the bloodstone.
Additional info: Without any notice the mission starts and we went on. At the end discovering both mission need to be played again. I complete GW:EN missions
- I'm not sure if this is what happened in your situation, but here is a little related info. It is possible to bring another player into an Eye of the North repeatable quest (like Finding the Bloodstone) even if they have not completed the required quests. They are allowed to tag-along with you, but can't get credit for completing the quest. If you had already completed Finding Gadd, but your daughter had not, it is possible for you to pull her into the mission. However, there should have been warnings. Here is how it should work. You talk to the Inscription Stone. Before sending you into Finding the Bloodstone, you get a dialog letting you know that someone in your party is "ineligible to receive rewards for this quest because they are experiencing events out of order" and is will not advance until you hit okay. After starting the quest, your daughter should have received a similar message as a pop-up as well as in the quest log. What confuses me the most is you mentioning that you returned to "the camp." Do you mean Gadd's Encampment? It shouldn't be possible to start the quest from there. If this is still causing you distress, it might be better if you contact Support directly. -Kim Chase 22:41, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Secret Lair of the Snowmen
Issue: Dwarven Rank increase intermittently applied to kills in Hard mode. I will get the mesage in text that I have achieved Dwarven Raider rank 2/3/4 has been achieved, but there is no increase in points per kill - it still remains at 2 points each.
Issaue: Snowmen congregate behind a wall in the chamber behind the second Beacon.
I've noticed these in Hard Mode. Grafton 03:54, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
The Lost Princess
Issue: I am unable to access the the quest when speaking to Salma. She has the green arrow over her head.
Steps to reproduce the issue: I do have the golem quests live in my quest log. The only choice I get when speaking to Salma is to enter the golem quest.
Additional info: None
- I believe this issue was fixed back in December. If that is not the case, please let us know. --Andrew Patrick 17:30, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Troubled Lands
Issue: Earthen Abomination is killed but quest is only recognized as complete for party leader other player still has the objective to purify the Earthen Abomination which will not respawn making the quest uncompletable for other party members, to cement this fact the objective marker for monster location does not exist.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Accepted and completed quest but did not register for other party members except for the party leader.
Additional info: Nothing out of the ordinary was done to obtain this bug
- Thanks for the report, I have an open case on this and will follow up on it. Thanks! --Andrew Patrick 17:32, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Vizunah Square HenchOnly Foreign Team gets stuck
Issue: I started Vizunah Square from the local outpost. There was no player starting from the foreign side, so a team of henches was added. These henches seem to have pathing issues that mean they aren't able to help beyond the first big fight. Instead they get stuck along walls while heading towards the second ambush.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Start from local outpost (hope you don't get any players on foreign side). Complete the first battle, and continue that battle after the cutscene. Move on to the second main battle. Foreign side henches will not follow you to the second battle, instead they'll be stuck against the wall at some point in the route between them.
Additional info: I noticed that just before the cutscene, Mhenlo was the only one to enter the square from the foreign side, so maybe the foreign henches had already got stuck on the wall leading down.

- Do you still have the quest Wintersday Cheer in your quest log? -Kim Chase 19:43, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- This only seems to occur if you have the Wintersday Cheer quest active. That is the intended behavior of that quest. Since this quest cannot be turned in except on Wintersday, you can either abandon it and take it next year, or just wait and complete it when Wintersday returns. --Andrew Patrick 22:16, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

- Are you sure they're not using Call to the Torment? -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 08:57, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with Gordon. These enemies use Call to the Torment to summon duplicates. They tend to use this skill when they are low on health, and so it makes sense that the duplicate would appear to spawn as they die. Since this can be easily explained, and there has been no further action on this discussion, I am closing it now. -Kim Chase 00:12, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Escape from the Torment
Issue: The quest fails, even if you kill all Margonites of the ambush.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Seems to happen everytime when a Ranger or Warrior foe is the last one standing.
Additional info: The way to approach the ambush spot doesn't seem to affect the result of the outcome/failure. Speed doesn't seem to be the issue as well.

- I ran this quest a few times and never had a "quest failed" message. Do you have any more details on how to get this to occur? --Andrew Patrick 21:44, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Sorry Andrew, I can't give you more details, just the fact, that I needed five attempts to do it on my Paragon. I don't know if or what other quests I accepted, too. Perhaps its a combo of quests thing. But I had the same problem with the quest when I did it with my Elementalist a few months back, and as I said before I know a lot of people who had the same problem. Gorani 18:45, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
NM dungeons
I'm not sure if this is technically a "quest" but this is the closest I could think of.
Not sure if this is actually a bug or it is supposed to happen but while doing Dungeons in NM I would receive a +7% moral boost along with the temporary +20 armor bonus with every 25 kills under the "Vetran Dwarven Raider" (that is while being r8+ and talking to the beacon). I have tried this in multiple NM Dungeons
- Not a bug. Dungeons are balanced with those morale boosts in mind and while missing from the initial release of EotN they were quickly added. The armor boost is the only random buff not tied to reputation point gains, hence the reason you see that pop up as well. -- WarBlade 04:38, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Recruits For Holis
Issue: Upon leaving Ascalon City and running past Warmaster Grast, the quest will update and 2 of the 3 recruits will follow you. Could you see if there is a way to make the third one do the same? It's not as much a problem.. but it's a headache to get to Holis and then think you lost a recruit. x.x

Issue: Supply Bearers will follow you back to town but when they enter and "poof" the quest doesn't update.

Additional info: Tried to run the quest 3 times. Abandoned and re-added the quest twice with no effect.
Magic 22:13, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
- I did not have any issues completing this quest. Are you doing anything out of the ordinary that may be causing you to have issues with quests that involve NPCs following you? It seems strange that you had a similar issue in both this and the Recruits for Hollis quest but I didn't experience any problems on either. --Andrew Patrick 19:05, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Malaquire's Test
Issue: This quest is impossible to complete if the character knows all PvP skills in GW, as it requires you to capture a skill from a boss via a Signet of Capture.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Acquired all PvP skills in the game.
Additional info: None
- Yeah, but if you're UAS do you REALLY need a Signet of Capture for a quest reward? ;) I went ahead and submitted a bug on this, good find! --Andrew Patrick 19:25, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Well, it's more for people who want completeness in the game, i.e. completing every quest, getting every skill, etc. Obviously, if you get every skill without doing this quest first, then you can't complete every quest. While I personally don't plan on doing every quest, I know there are those out there who may find this bug to be a great annoyance to their own personal goal for PvE completeness, many whom probably have already accumulated all (or all cappable) skills on that character. Thanks for submitting! --Seventh 10:49, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Jade Quarry Farshot Shrine
The longbow/farshot shrine closest to the kurzick base (yellow section) does not shoot upon the juggernaughts as they move from yellow to the base. This was probably introduced during the fix where the kurzicks used to be able to take that shrine before the match began. Please fix this as it gives the kurzicks a distinct unfair advantage on the JQ map. Also, the carrier bug where they get stuck is retarded as well.
- I have reported this issue to the Live Team. Thanks for the info! --Andrew Patrick 21:20, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
This problem is still there. During the weekend double faction event I played a lot of JQ, and witnessed several times the yellow juggernaut going past the Luxon farshots without them firing on it. JQ is one of my favorite parts of GW, but it's very frustrating to deal with this huge advantage given to the other team. Do you know if anything is being done about this?69.143.111.122 14:23, 31 March 2009 (UTC)KB

Lambs to the Slaughter
Issue: Only the leader of the Shadow Blades turns hostile immediately
Steps to reproduce the issue: Approach the Shadow Blades with the Obsidian Flames just close enough to trigger the dialogue.
Additional info: If you are close enough to trigger the dialogue, when the leader turns hostile, the Obsidian Flame run in and kill him before he's done talking. This prevents the remaining Shadow Blades from turning hostile, and makes it impossible to finish the quest without starting over. While I understand it has always been this way, it's possible that due to skill changes, the NPC bars are now unbalanced which allow the Obsidian Flame NPC's to kill him faster than originally intended. Is it possible to adjust the timing, so that the entire group turns hostile at the same time?
Thanks for taking a look at this. -- Wyn 05:24, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- Nvm, I guess I was just not staying long enough. The remaining Shadow Blades turned hostile after I had been standing in the middle of them for approximately 5 minutes while I typed up this report, and I was able to kill them and complete the quest. It still seems to me that it would make more sense if they turned hostile when their leader did (or at least after he called for them to "Kill them all!"). -- Wyn 05:36, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

quest bug with Foundry Breakout
atm there is a bug/glitch with Foundry Breakout. bug works as follows and doasc groups take advantage of this bug.
they only have 2 people(tanks) take the quest , then one tank goes and stands bext to take on the right side. then they have the second tank go to General Yendzarsh and they save him. the rest of the group takes him to safety. next both tanks will now talk to Silzesh, and Captain Valkyss at the same time and then letting both of then die. the bug is as long as these two snakes are talked to and popped be3fore either one of the die the quest will stillbe able to be finished. for aslong as the general lives.
- I wasn't able to get this to happen. If any of the free Forgotten prisoners die, the quests fails. It fails even if they die after you advance to the objective to defeat the Black Beast of Arrgh. Once the quest is flagged as failed, you can't complete the quest even if you kill the Black Beast of Arrgh. I'm not sure how groups are getting this to happen, but I'll keep looking at it. Thanks for the report. Kim Chase 19:43, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Song and Stone
Issue: Tree singers spawn in odd locations
Steps to reproduce the issue: Run the quest normally
Additional info: Two of the tree singers you're required to protect for this quest spawn at a location nowhere near any of the quest's waypoints (the above map indicates the location where they spawn). When you visit the eighth waypoint for the quest, even if it's not marked on your map, a Luxon ambush spawns in that area and will almost certainly kill the two tree singers, significantly setting you back in the quest. In addition, the third waypoint has three tree singers to protect. Because of this, four of the waypoints for the quest contain no tree singers.

Mission Book Normal Mode EoTN
Issue: normal mode mission book in Eye Of The North
Steps to reproduce the issue: Went to the EoTN outpost
Additional info: Handed in Normal Mode book to Vanguard Herald, this was the second time I had handed in one of these books. The reward text that showed up when I chose 'written evidence' said that I would be given 20k vanguard points. However the text that came up in my chat window when I handed over the book, said 10k Vanguard points. I would love to get the missing 10k Vanguard Points, my Character's name is Helen Mollar
- I tried turning in a completed Normal Mode Hero's Handbook and the Vanguard Herald is giving the same amount he mentions in his dialog text, 20,000 Vanguard Points. You might want to contact Support about this. Here is some information that would be useful. How many pages did you have filled out? How many Vanguard points do you have? What day did this happen? Did you have more than one handbook in your inventory? I don't think support has a way to award your character Vanguard points, but if there is a problem we'd like to make sure that no one runs into it again. Kim Chase 17:53, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Was this normal book that you handed in the second normal book handed in for vanguard points? Or your first? Mine was my second. First time gave me 20k second time gave me 10k. But the dialog said 20k. HelenMollar
- I think you will find this happens during EoTN Reputation bonus weekends. Because the game will give double faction on any faction awards for quests, shrines or dungeons. Books are specifically excluded from this bonus, so to ensure you only get 20,000 points you are awarded 10,000 which is doubled because of the reputation bonus. I turned in 3 books over the reputation weekend and all 3 times the log said 10,000 faction, but the 'H' screen showed 20,000 was added to the relevent title track. Temple of the Damned
Issue: Hidden chest pings in first room on 3rd level, but will not appear
Steps to reproduce the issue: loaded in and pinged chest with Light of Deldrimor
Additional info: Only seems to happen if you ping chest before killing the mobs in the room
(Satanael 16:55, 12 June 2009 (UTC))
- That is odd! I've logged the issue in our database. Thanks! --Devon Carver 23:37, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- This can also occur on level two of Temple of the Damned as well if there is a Light of Deldrimore in the starting area. And I did just have this happen to me on level 3 of Raven's Point about an hour ago. Light of Deldrimore was used, and showed 3 lights, 2 of which went out after about 10 seconds and never re-appeared, and the 3 was sufficiently far away to stay lit. It seems if the LoD appears to close to the start of the zone, and LoD is used in the first minute or so of entering the zone, this becomes a bugged LoD and it will never appear. Tihark Orchard (Zaishen quest)
Issue: Characters who did the quest in a previous session and have not re-logged into the game since cannot take the quest again.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Take the quest, do it and accept the reward. Log out and stay logged out. The next time the quest is available again, log in. Talk to the quest giver NPC. It will falsely state that you have already done today's quest and refuses to hand it out.
Additional info: I would assume that this bug affects all other Zaishen missions and bounties as well, even though I've only experienced it with Tihark Orchard so far.

Additional info: I can verify that what happened with Tihark Orchard Z-mission happened with Fenrir Z-bounty. When Z-challenge stuff was new, I went overboard and took everything on all characters but never had time to get around to them. Today I found that many of my character still had old Fenrir quest so I did those thinking I could repeat with today's quest. This was not the case.
--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Barinthus (talk).
- This is also a valid issue, but in my above post I was talking about a different issue. In my case, I have picked up the quest, finished it, and accepted the reward, all in the same day the quest has become available. Then I logged out and stayed logged out. When the quest came up again yesterday, I logged in to take it and do it once again, but it was not available to me, even though I've last done it weeks before that point. --Adul 17:24, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I was in a hurry and misread your post. To emphasize - my characters picked up the quest first time it was presented and some of them did not attempt or finished it. - If you have one of the Zaishen Quests (such as Fenrir) in your log and that quest comes around in the rotation again, you cannot get or complete a second copy of the quest. Zaishen mission
- → moved from User talk:Linsey Murdock
Hi Linsey, Not sure if it's intended or if it's a bug. The first time Ruins of morah was the Zaishen mission i have done them with multiple characters. I know that on some of the characters i didn't get the reward yet. Due to the fact the zaishen mission is again Ruins of morah, i get back to the Great temple, to discover i can't accept the reward anymore, or even get the new zaishen mission (ruins of morah) again. I hope to be of a help to report this. Didis 19:50, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- You can't get the new quest because it "thinks" you already have it, as it should technically be the same quest in the code. Don't know why you can't accept the reward, though. If you feel like it, try abandoning one of them and see if you can get the new version then. In lessons learned: do not hang on to completed zquests, cash them in. Rose Of Kali 20:01, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- Can't abandon or accept, because it's not in the quest log anymore...that's why i report...also no questmark at npc, so i can't take it again. And no i haven't done the quest with my character today. I take you're lessons learned really as a lessons learned. Thx Didis 21:40, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

destructions depths
Issue: Doesn't count as completed for HM books
Steps to reproduce the issue: finished the quest
Additional info: My partner missed out on maxing her asuran title with a book from this, and until its fixed, no one will get full book reward...others have mentioned it this week on wiki page too. Apologies if this all posted wrong...not seasoned wiki user yet
Jaime 15:01, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- No worries, i fixed it for you. Magicoverdrive 02:04, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- I was able to get the hard mode page for Destructions's Depths without a problem, so I'm guessing there is something more specific going on.
- Just to rule these things out first... There are a couple of known ways that you can complete content without getting a page. For example, you can't get credit for completing Destructions Depths unless you already have credit for completing the prereq Heart of the Shiverpeaks. If you are partied with another person that has completed the prereq, but your character hasn't completed it, you are allowed to play but are given a warning that you are playing events out of order and won't get full credit for completion. If that is happening, you should be able to look for the warning in your quest log while you are in Destruction's Depths. Another situation can happen if you have multiple copies of the same book. For example, let's say you have two copies of Hero's Handbook Hard Mode. The one that's in your first inventory slot has Destruction's Depths already completed, the second does not. If you complete Destruction's Depths again, the game recognizes that the first book already has that page and doesn't reward completion to the second book. The game only supports you working on one book of a type at a time.
- Forgot my password again (jaime) but it did update on a recent attempt...apart from that, no, none of those situations you describe apply, as its my main, and I only ever carry one book...only rarely do i even have another copy in storage, since I play in a very traditionalist way (same reason I rarely farm) It happened 3 times in total, twice to me, and once to my partner, but now seems to be working fine. Guess it was either an intermittent thing, or something thats been fixed. Now if they can just explain whats making my framerate lower since the recent updates.... ;) 94.173.47.130 17:26, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Demon Assassin
Issue: This has the same issue that the 4 horsemen quest did way back when. If you kill Slayer where he spawns, the quest will not update after he is killed. This will make it impossible to finish the quest and to finish underworld.
Steps to reproduce the issue: To reproduce, one party member takes the Demon Assassin quest while another waits at the spawn location for Slayer. If killed there, the quest will not update.
Additional info: This bug happened to the Four Horsemen Quest too, but it was fixed for that quest. Waiting for Slayer to run up mountain instead of killing him where he spawns fixes this, but it goes against the quest description. The question description says to kill him before he reaches the top, which would imply kill him ASAP, which does not work.

Unnamed Report
for the past two days i have been experiencing some realy anoying bugs whilw trying to play guildwars. when i try to do a quest (including primary quests) ether the NPC i am suposed to help or the minimap has a bug in it. while following the NPC he has a fight with a group of monsters and then he just stands still afterwords and then i cant do the quest. and with the minimap it doesnt say where i am suposed to go so that i cant do the quest i need to, so i go on GWW to see where to go and follow all the instructions then when i get there the NPC im suposed to kill is missing.
ether i have realy bad luck or i have found a few factions bugs. hope they get resolved quickly bacause i want to continue geting further into the game. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:82.46.191.97 (talk).

Crossing the Desolation
Issue: I know this is minor, but Palawa Joko does not appear at the monument when he's supposed to break free and give his first dialog - however the quest does update and you can continue to his location in Turai's Procession and complete.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Not sure, since its a one time quest, but both times this happened in the past few weeks, I did a control-shift-H to hide the gui to take a screen shot of Kormir disappearing, but reactivated the gui before clicking on the monument
Additional info: May be unrelated, but I've noticed hiding the gui during a mission cutscene sometimes changes the camera angle or arrangement of the scene (having done the same mission several times in a day due to the zquests)

- Hmmm I just completed this quest and Joko popped out of his tomb and all the dialog seemed to be working correctly. This isn't an actual cutscene, it's just a scripted event, so I don't think it would be related to the other issue you are reporting. When you did this quest, did his dialog still appear and his model was missing, or did none of it occur? Thanks! --Andrew Patrick 22:41, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- Neither the dialog appeared (in popup boxes or in the chat window), nor did the model appear. As soon as I clicked on the monument, the quest updated to Joko's location far to the north. Joiry 05:57, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Z-Bounty Signpost will not offer Z-Bounty
Murakai, Lady of the Night (Zaishen quest)
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=58589&d=1250192889
Issue: Zaishen Signpost in Great Temple of Bathazar will not offer this quest
Steps to reproduce the issue: Character concerned had the Z-Bounty quest from the previous time it was offered. The bounty was completed on this character on Saturday and the Z-Bounty reward was collected upon completion. Upon zoning into Great Temple today to re-acquire the quest, the signpost will not offer this Zaishen Bounty for this character
Additional info: All other characters on the same account were not affected, and were offered the Zaishen Bounty correctly. This bug may be similar to or actually be the same as the Tihark Orchard bug reported above in July

Jade Arena not triggering to do battle
Jade Arena does not go into battle mode even though Arena Master Portus shouts "Let the battle begin!". This occurs randomly. In a typical five runs, it happens once or twice.
Disenchantment Course
Issue: As a primary or secondary assassin you are given Expunge Enchantments which is useless against Brother Pe Wan's Life Sheath which defeats the purpose of this being a lowbie quest
Steps to reproduce the issue: <None>
