My name is Emeline Kirian. The Corsair raided my village when I was a young girl. They pilfered through our belongings for hidden treasures. If only they'd stopped there, but no, their greed was far worse and not satiated by materialistic gain. The leader of the raid was an evil man and spied me attempting to hide. I could see the lust in his eyes and I was terrified. At 15, I knew enough to know he meant me great harm. When my father tried to stop him and protect me, he was murdered. The Corsair kidnapped me, telling me that if I did not cooperate my mother and younger siblings would suffer the same fate as my father. I felt I had no choice. From that point on I was a Corsair slave, forced into prostitution by my new-found master. Little did he know I was secretly learning the mesmeric arts. After three years of study, I learned enough to be able to strike back. In his sleep, I hexed him to death and made my escape. I have not been able to locate my family and do not know if they are alive or dead. So for now, I train with the Sunspears as I search for my family and my identity. | ||
