Mindflay Spectres are phantoms that appear in the Chaos Plains of the Underworld. They are cousins of the Mindblade Spectres, and vary from them by only one skill.

While Mindblade Spectres spawn when certain Banished Dream Riders are killed, the Mindflay Spectres spawn after the death of a Cursed Dream Rider. After the spawned group of three Mindflays dies, a second group of six Mindflays spawns, followed by a third group of nine Mindflays.

Mindflay Spectres were introduced in the July 2nd, 2008 update. They were added to counter the permanent Shadow Form build used in the area.
