The Plains of Jarin are the dusty plains of northeastern Istan. They are mostly flat and dry, but the southeastern part of the Plains of Jarin is more verdant. A variety of sentient plants and insects inhabit this explorable area, together with a large population of skales at the western waterways.

Notes[edit]
The Guild Wars 2 Wiki has an article on Plains of Jarin. |
- The Juvenile Bladed Termites are passive. There's a large group of them in the western waters. Watch out for the lone hostile Irontooth Drake in their midst.
- Complete exploration of this area contributes approximately 2.7% to the Elonian Cartographer title.
- Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 209 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 188 to 229 foes.
- Be careful with the hidden mandragor groups near Tarom Rockbreaker; the boss itself is part of a hidden group.
- This area will yield about 1,800 Sunspear Promotion Points with all bounties. When vanquishing with non-Elonian characters this area will offer Istani bounties as long as you are below Sunspear rank 6. A Land of Heroes is the easier method for non-Elonian characters to reach rank 6.
- If the quest Zaishen Elite is active, you must defeat the two Acolytes to successfully vanquish the area.
- The festival quest White Mist adds three allied Humbugs to your team.
- It is possible to vanquish this area with a party of eight members. See Kamadan, Jewel of Istan notes for details.
- It is also possible to get a party of eight members from the Sunspear Great Hall under the same conditions after completing Blacktide Den mission.
