Name: Iphus Wieldon

Nationality: Melankash

Country of Origin: Ascalon

Age: 37

Born in Ascalon City to an Ascalonian and a Canthan, Iphus's second name was originally Wieldon. He grew up with Sarith Daemonblood, whom he would fight with later on in their lives. Iphus lived a pleasantly ordinary life, having patrols as a guard along the borders of Regent Valley. However, when the Searing came, Iphus had to flee with his parents. His father died in the Shiverpeaks but Iphus and his mother managed to get to safety at Silzark. They however had to vow to leave the Old Gods and join the Melankash. Iphus the Great is one of the greatest soldiers Silzark has to offer. Because of his skill with the axe, Iphus rose rapidly though the ranks of the Melanktion army: hence earning the name 'Great' thought he has also earned the nickname 'Executioner' due to his prowess with his axe. He is now a rich successful general who has served in many campaigns against the Canthans. He believes that the Canthans, Tyrians and Elonians are fools for believing in gods that allow pain and suffering to happen. However, all his past killings are coming back to haunt him, and Iphus has no idea what or who to turn to...

Story

Iphus stood on the hill and looked out to his army. 3,000 fully trained soldiers, ready to kill for their Gods. Iphus shouted out to them "My soldiers! We fight against 10,000 of our enemies: the Canthans! If we die tonight, we shall die with honor! With glory! We shall not go down without a fight! For the Melanktion Gods!". After he shouted the last sentence, screams of approval roared out among the soldiers, and then came the terrifying noise of 3,000 swords and axes bang against 3,000 shields. Iphus turned back to face the enemy and screamed "Charge!". As he sprinted forward, he could hear his soldiers following him, every heartbeat in unison, rallied on by their cause for if they lost this battle, their cities would be open for invasion. The two factions collided. Iphus tackled the few Canthans in front of him, and swung his axe around to take down any enemies who tried to take him from behind. The other Melankash soldiers attacked the first row of Canthans and cut them down mercilessly. Iphus spun his axe left and right, splitting heads open and chopping limbs off. Blood in his eyes, on his face and on his hands, he screamed a bellowing roar and eventually psyched himself into a berserker rage. He spun round and round, Canthans died if they came in contact with him. Those that survived tried to run, but Iphus caught up with them and silenced their screams. The Melankash were pushing the Canthans back to a cliff rockface, and then barely 10 minutes later, the battle was over. The soil was soaked red with blood and with so many Canthan corpses, there was hardly any ground to step on. Iphus wiped the sweat off his face and turned to face his soldiers. "Tonight we have given our gods a great victory! The Canthans will think twice before attacking the Melankash again!" As he started to lead his troops back to the camp, he heard a thunderous roar come from the west. As he turned his head to look, he saw several figures on a hilltop. He couldn't see any details of them, because the Sun was shining directly behind them. However the figures had spears and scythes. Iphus then realised who these soldiers were. Suddenly, the figures ran towards him screaming. Several thousand more poured out over the hill and down onto the battlefield. Iphus said to himself "Sunspears..." but then shouted to his men "Soldiers, shields up! Let's see what these Elonians have really got!"
