This is a list of elite skills available in Guild Wars Factions organized by their capture location as you follow the campaign's story. This article primarily focuses on skills you can capture without real time investment; other skills available if you stray further from the main path or complete long quest chains are also listed but in less detail.

Playthrough[edit]
Arrival in Kaineng[edit]
New Areas[edit]
Arriving in mainland Cantha grants access to Bukdek Byway, Wajjun Bazaar, The Undercity, and Shadow's Passage. In addition to skills easily accessible during your campaign playthrough, you can also capture the following skills with some additional effort:
- Triple Chop
- Martyr Capturing the Orrian Tome
- Shatter Storm
- Elemental Attunement Eliminate the Am Fah
- Mind Freeze
- Flashing Blades Assist the Guards
Welcome to Cantha[edit]
Foreign characters arrive directly in Kaineng Center and quickly make their way through Bukdek Byway. The following skills can be captured easily without diverting far from the primary quest. Don't take Chasing Zenmai or some bosses won't spawn.
To Kaineng Center[edit]
Canthan characters arrive in mainland Cantha at the Marketplace. No elite skills are available on Shing Jea. Canthan characters should travel North to Kaineng Center as soon as they arrive in Kaineng, but can't capture any elite skills on the way. Once in Kaineng Center, you can purchase Signet of Capture. Two free signets are available through the quest chain starting with Capturing the Orrian Tome. Keep in mind that Canthan characters can't swap secondary professions until completion of Nahpui Quarter at the end of this section.

Mayhem in the Market[edit]
Don't take Chasing Zenmai or some bosses won't spawn.
Vizunah Square[edit]
Bosses for half the professions spawn at random. Take a signet with you if you can, but don't expect to capture any specific skill. The same skills are also available during the Dragon's Throat challenge mission, which is unlocked after completion of Vizunah Square.

New Areas[edit]
Completing Nahpui Quarter allows Canthan characters to swap secondary professions. You also gain access to Nahpui Quarter (explorable area), Xaquang Skyway, Shenzun Tunnels, and Pongmei Valley†. In addition to skills easily accessible during your campaign playthrough, you can also capture the following skills with some additional effort:

Completing Arborstone and Boreas Seabed grants access to their respective explorable areas. In addition to skills easily accessible during your campaign playthrough, you can also capture the following skills with some additional effort:
