Most foes in Guild Wars are known to drop some sort of collectable item that you can, well, collect. But why would you want to? Why not salvage them into crafting materials or sell them off at the nearest merchant? Well, because there is a certain class of people - considered by most to be of questionable sanity - called collectors who can be found in various places around the world, waiting for some intrepid adventurer to come by wanting to unload a pile of these collectable items. If you've got the specific collectable that they're obsessed with collecting, they'll gladly give you a reward for helping them feed said obsession.
Still, the question remains: why bother searching out a collector for your items when any old merchant will buy them from you?
The answer: Profit.
Some of these collectors have such a strong obsession with collecting their chosen item that they're willing to give you an item worth significantly more than the collectables you trade for it. This can be used to your very great advantage, if you know which collectors to go to with which collectables. And that's what this article is for.
The following tables list all known collectibles in each chapter, along with all known collectors for each item and the best trade you can make with each collector. In the Profit? column you will find one of two symbols:
The numbers following the mark indicate the margin on the trade - the first number is the total margin, and the number in parentheses (only displayed for profitable trades) is the margin per item. The per-item margin is used to determine the better trade when two collectors for the same item collect different quantities of that item.

Notes[edit]
- Calissa Sedgwick will also exchange Charr Hides for Fur Squares (whose value varies based on market demand), which used to be a lucrative trade back in the early days of Guild Wars. Unfortunately, the demand for Fur Squares is usually very low, and so their market value generally hovers around the equivalent of 4 Charr Hides, or 20 .

Notes[edit]
- The Animal Hide collectable, once reported to drop from Sickened Animals in Minister Cho's Estate, seems to have vanished from the game. The collector for these items, Xuwei Diyi, still exists in Kinya Province, however. Because the sell value of Animal Hides is unknown, they are not listed in the table.

Notes[edit]
- The Kournan Pendant collector Yartu is only available immediately upon completion of the quest Old Woman River.
- While Jidun is technically an Istan collector, Water Djinns are very rare there but are (relatively) more common on the mainland.
